It's now verified: Paris has signed with EMI and her jazz album is due for release September 30th. bounce.gif

The first single is planned for July. Both dates are tentative as always in the music industry... They've actually been working with the album quite a while, but big labels are so secretive on their projects:)

YAY!!! I hope this cd does her justice because her debut did her none.

WOO! I'm officially excited, this will be like the real debut she never got. Her actual debut didn't do her justice whatsoever, jazz is definitely her niche :cheerleaders:

this is very exciting news!!! I can't wait for this CD!!! This is what she should have done out of the gate!

Does anyone know if it her handlers or "herself" that wanted her to go a different way for her debut album? I felt like she always considered herself a Beyonce wannabe". She definately should have stuck to jazz. I did not care for her "Beyonce" type singing, and I was always curious how she could act like that on stage, yet supposedly be so "innocent" and little girlish otherwise. Personally I think she is a phoney in that area. But thats just my perception.

The only time that I got the Beyonce vibe from her was during her Work It Out performance and I was told she performed Crazy In Love while on the tour. Other than that, I've never gotten the Beyonce vibe from her. Her debut was some faux R&Bpop stuff that should have been released before she was on Idol. lol But anyways, I hope this new route will take a better turn than before.

Jazz is definitely the right fit for Paris. She held better than her own with Al Jarreau, and she brought a jazz influence to the best songs she performed on the show. Hope it's done well to showcase her skill.
Love jazz...my next dream would be for Elliott to focus more on it.
