I didn't see this thread until after I had already posted in the thread about the radio preview. My first computer task this morning was the purchase of the single from Amazon. Amazing. Simply amazing.

Edited to add: I just checked iTunes and couldn't find the album or Elliott's single listed. Does anyone know why?

Thanks Grace. I purchased it from Amazon, and I'm on my 5th listen :). I may go and get the CD, just because I like having CD's for quality.

I just downloaded the single from Amazon and it automatically added it to my I-Tunes library. Maybe that's why it's not on I-Tunes

i got the mp3 from amazon as well.. and i love it.. it brings me back to my childhood so much!!! (i used to be a lion king addict and that was the only thing my parents accepted)

I think it downloads to itunes because that is your default player. I just downloaded it from Amazon as well :awe: :awe: :awe: I'll probably still go buy the CD today, because I like having a hard copy. You never know, maybe I could get it autographed...... :fangirly:

I was wavering on buying the CD, but I just unwavered :) and I'll be leaving for Circuit City in a few minutes. I'm sure it will be in my car CD player (skipped forward to the best track on the album) before I leave the parking lot.

Actually I-Tunes is not my default player, Window Media Player is. It's on my C-drive as well. I can also play it Window Media Player.

I couldn't give a rip about the other songs. I heard enough on the radio the other day to know they aren't my taste, but I'll just skip 'em.

You can purchase the single for 99 cents, same as iTunes. I prefer Amazon over iTunes because Amazon does not include a digital certificate which means that you can transfer it to any mp3 without any hassle. I vaguely (I do mean vaguely) recall reading that the quality of Amazon downloads is very close to that of the physical CD.

Amazon just downloads the file to your itunes catalogue. It's not from itunes. Wonder when and if they will have it?

When I click on the file found in the amazon downloader, it opens in media player. But if you purchase itunes and have the software, you will also notice you can access it from the software. Found mine listed under music with the cover in itunes.

eta: I always prefer mp3's over itunes. You can play them anywhere. I like having the choice, afterall... I did pay for it :)

Thanks. I don't have an MP 3 player so that's why I usually use I-Tunes and burn it to a CD.
But now I probably will purchase the whole CD. I wonder how much of a cut Elliott would get for a single download or if he got a certain amount of money for his performance on the CD. Just wondering b/c I want to ensure that Elliott profits well from this song. I am in the dark about how these things go.

If you purchase it from amazon, it will go to your itunes software and then you can burn it to a CD like you would any itunes single.

a bit off topic, but when I purchased Believe from American Idol, it went to my Windows Media Player. Is there a way to move it to my itunes library? I am clueless.

In itunes, just go to file at the top left and then "add file to library". Lead it to where your file is and it should come up in music folder. You can always find the file in itunes and slide it into another folder you may have created in itunes... for example I have a folder called Elliott where I have nothing but his music.

I'm going to buy the Cd and download the single. BTW, we're taking the kids to Disney World next week and I'm gonna keep my eyes open for any cool Elliott promo shots of the CD. I'm anxious to see what Virgin Megastore in Downtown Disney has to promote it.

I just got back from Circuit City. The bad news is that my local Walmart is about 3 miles away while Circuit City is about 8 so what I saved with the sales price I used up in extra gas not to mention the extra time it took driving in the high-traffic part of town. Then I had forgotten that CC didn't open until 10 so I had to wait in the parking lot for 10 minutes. I was one of the first ones in the store only to find that it wasn't on the cart with new music (Is 3 Doors Down that big--they had around 20 of that CD) and it took the sales clerk at least 20 minutes to find it. The good news is that I got to listen to CYFTLT three times on the way home instead of the one if I had gone to Walmart.

I'm listening to the whole CD now. Colbie Caillat's song is pleasant. I'll reserve judgment of the others that I've heard so far, except Elliott's that is. Can You Feel the Love Tonight is a masterpiece.

So, I just downloaded and listened 3 times at my office - but that takes 15 minutes and I figured I should get back to work so I took out my headphones and there on the work radio is Sir Elton singing CYFTLT - and can I just say that WOW - Elliott is actually better! Nothing but love for Elton John but Elliott sings it soooooo much better! His voice works that song amazingly well! I'm actually awestruck at times while listening to it - he's mesmerizing.

Can't wait till the commute home - I'll be playing it over and over!

Is the CD not available at Target or Wal Mart? Anybody know?
