David will start writing songs for his cd in the next few weeks and recording his debut cd while on the AI tour. He said this during an interview on MTV's TRL :)

No problem :) I want to see David Cook Live after the AI Tour when he will be singing more of his own music and less covers.

Although I really liked the way he covered Mariah Carey's "Always be my baby" When he sang "ABMB" was the first time I had actually watched the show since Hollywood Week :) David's "ABMB"cover blew me away! :rocker: I did go online and watch all of David's other performances though.

From the top 7 on I tuned into AI just to hear Cook sing! This was the first season of AI that I didn't watch all of it but I think America picked the right winner this time.

Right before the finale I didn't want Cook to win(based on past winner's sucess and dropping from record labels) even though I felt Cook deserved to win. I was worried that Cook would face the same fate as previous Idol winners by getting dropped from their labels in the future. I don't think that will happen now. I think Cook will have the best career of any Idol winner yet. Now I'm glad he won. I'm looking forward to watching David Cook have a great career after the tour starting with his debut cd.;)

There's an interview with David Cook in People Magazine this week. The magazine is dated June 16th.

Thanks for posting that HW. I recorded the game but apparently they didn't show the singing of the National Anthem. He sang it straight....just like he said he would. Nicely done.
