Anyways, here is a video of Archie singing at a youth camp for troubled youth.
His friend Brett was speaking there and he brought Archie along. Apparently he stayed afterwards and signed a bunch of autographs.
It's a beautiful church hymn called "Be Still My Soul".

Nice to see all the love for David A. I'm a fan as well even though most of the S7 love here seems to have gone to Cook or Castro. :rotfl: My favorites were Smokey Mountain Memories and Don't Let the Sun Go Down on You. It also helps that Archie is a huge Elliott fan.

I just always have a soft spot for the really great singers. I hope he has a wonderful career.

I liked that David A, with all the obvious popular choices, he mentioned Eva Cassidy as his idol....that shows good taste. He has so much potential as an artist.
On The View, he sang Stand by Me and I wish that he had done a studio version of that song.

I totally agree. I loved that arrangement (Stand by Me). One of my all time favorite songs.

Geez, most of those ladies on The View didn't know who Eva Cassidy was, except Whoopi. I think I heard her mention in the background that she (Eva) had died.

They both did great, but I'm a bit biased so I will say that I LOVED Archie's cover of Stand By Me and loved how he kept Sean Kingston's"beautiful girls" line in.

I rarely read the comments over there beyond the first 20 or so.
The Archie threads have been known to number in the hundreds, sometimes more than a thousand. I don't have the time or inclination to read all that.

I don't know what you read over there that was scary--- perhaps it was the fangirliness of some of those fans.
If I were 20 or younger I'd get fangirly too-- but seriously, he is just a boy.

I am however, a huge fan of his voice and I just think he is a darling young man.

I am in total agreement here. It just creeps me out a bit, when fans (probably many of which are our age) make everything of a sexual nature. He just turned 17 for heaven's sake!! LOL The comments seem to go past a healthy obsession. And when I say scary, I mean weird, obsessive, etc....not threatening. JMO.

I kind of understand about obsession, but I do have some kind of control about Elliott. I admire Elliott, I think he is Cool and HOT speaking about his voice!! And I like the way he delivers a song. :elliottcap:

Elliott is the voice that makes a happy party in my soul... It just makes life better and hearing Elliott just makes it all great. My obsession ,more of a spiritual nature than anything else. Elliott is soo gifted , has abilities , phrasing, energy, sound, tone that I love to hear. Elliott just knocked me out with his vocals. It was years since I heard a voice that made me notice . Elliott 's voice, one in a million or zillion. :elliottcap: Yup, obsession ....or Yaminitis and I don't want the cure...

Well, Tara, we're in total agreement. I've been obsessed with Elliott the past 2 1/2 years for the same reasons.
I understand how some can find him sexy, hot, etc. and that's fine. But for me, at 51 he's young enough to be my son and I just don't see him that way.

I met Elliott only once, the day his CD dropped and it was in NYC. I was in a bad place having lost someone so dear to me and it wasn't until I heard Elliott on AI 5 that I started to get out of my funk. I looked forward to hearing those mellifluous tones each week. I thank the good Lord that Elliott auditioned for AI and for sharing his gift with all of us. It certainly has been one hell of a ride.
