This week Elliott Yamin scores his eighth number one hit on UU-BRU Internet Radio as his cover of "Can You Feel The Love Tonight" from the "Disneymania 6" compilation ascends to the top of the chart.
Elliott Yamin's ten spot jump from #11 to #1 matches Melissa Etheridge's "I Need To Wake Up" (#1, 2007) for the largest leap to number one since Elliott Yamin soared from #22 to #1 in December 2006 with his cover of Donny Hathaway's "This Christmas". Meanwhile his former chart topper, "Free", rebounds to #2, giving Elliott Yamin the top two spots on this week's chart, becoming the first act to simulatneously hold down #1 and #2 since he captured the top three spots just over a year ago with "A Song For You", "Wait For You" and "Movin' On". I love CYFTLT. I am so glad that is is over 5 minutes long because it gives me so much more time to listen to his voice. I do not seem to get tired of hearing him sing this song, even if it is Disney. I hope when he records his new album with all the funky, upbeat tempos that he slips in a few slower ballads because he does them so well.
