Title: So I guess the thing about CNN
Description: and Kat's dad being a Fox producer

Just didn't pan out?

Seems to have died for lack of evidence.
Too bad.

We hit some roadblocks trying to obtain information. I really don't think we'll get much further with it. It would take an investigative reporter to go after it. Besides, I think if there were any conflicts, it would've been discovered at the beginning of the season.

Actually, threads on the AI boards are poofing, but one was just now saying that it was going to be on MSNBC Keith Olberman tonight and that CNN reported briefly on it. However, the threads are seriously disappearing before my eyes.

what are you guys talking about?

Mamarazzi - May 19, 2006 01:50 AM (GMT)
I posted this in another thread, but someone in the idol forum just said Keith Olbermann reported that McFather McPhee produced a New Year's Eve special that Ryan Seacrest hosted.

Is that the one that he hosted with Dick Clark when Dick Clark came back after recovering from his stroke?

Hmm interesting!

That's the one. I would love to see this lead to a disqualification.

I would love to see something done also, if nothing else then to have her eliminated and Taylor win. It would be just my luck that Kat will pull something and pull in enough votes to beat Taylor

Tempest - May 19, 2006 02:24 AM (GMT)
That is why I think I might change my mind and vote for Taylor.

edreamin - May 19, 2006 02:46 AM (GMT)
Yeah, I might be a little cynical, but I thought early in the show, she (Kat) was pulling some sort of strings.....

My 2006 American Idol's name is Elliot Yamin!

dcmdf - May 19, 2006 02:52 AM (GMT)
The thing is that if this did come out it would really not just effect Elliott - it would turn the whole competition on its head. They would need to redo the whole season, not just last week.

So... I'm thinking nothing will materialize.

Hi Lise,

I am voting for Taylor. I don't want to see her get in. I hate to say it, but I think she is getting a little help unfairly. If everything I'm reading is true, she shouldn't be there. BTW, how are you? Nice to see you here.

Edub - May 19, 2006 03:16 AM (GMT)
wow scandal... hmm... it'll be interesting to see the stuff fly...

i don't think i'll be voting though, soul patrol's got tay covered, I'll just enjoy the medleys w/ Elliott/Paris/Mandisa/Chris

Nothing THIS year would happen, but if enough attention was brought up about this, something like this would never happen again.
AI wouldn't be able to get away with this little secret.. that is if this has any truth...

JustKathHere - May 19, 2006 03:24 AM (GMT)
Just checked the other site and there are all kinds of posts on it now - and, that it was just brought up again on the Olberman report. Why can I never hear it live for myself..?!

I might too, at the very least I will help patrol their boards next tuesday like so many C fans did for us...

I have an article that reveals Daniel McPhee's job and employer. Now, AI may not have thought it would be a conflict of interest, but if there is enough hooting about it, they may have to address it. Threads won't disappear HERE. Still trying to get the article.

Interesting that an internet search yields NOTHING, yet I can do a search on my message board name, here and get hits. If he's a producer, then his name should be getting all kinds of hits.

The reason I'm suspicious is that Kat has never had a VISIBLE fan base, from day one. Fewest posts on AI, nothing for her homecoming. So, where are all these votes coming from?

I feel the same way. Kat can't win. That is like adding insult to injury.

Why would they have to redo the whole season? Just send her home in Elliott's place. He was third, just move everyone up one place.

Janizzle - May 19, 2006 03:52 AM (GMT)
I hear you on that! Just get rid of Kat! (lol, I know it rhymes)
