movin2thabeet - May 19, 2006 01:07 AM (GMT)
And get ready with your tissues.
jensolo5 - May 19, 2006 01:12 AM (GMT)
He freakin' moves me to no end!!!!
The last 10 seconds or so was beautiful.
We literally watched him find himself. That's so much deeper than just being able to sing.
Damn!

ccsescape - May 19, 2006 01:25 AM (GMT)
I don't see it. Could you add the link please?
And where is "Goodbye Elliott" on the home page? That came off fast.
Trip56 - May 19, 2006 01:27 AM (GMT)
This interview is so poignant. I just love Elliott and I love how his self-esteem and confidence have grown. He's just so special.
KateyKat - May 19, 2006 01:28 AM (GMT)
That was an incredible exit interview. It's amazing how much Elliott really took from his American Idol experience. Nothing is superficial with this man; everything has a deeper meaning for him. The last few statements he made about how AI helped him find his direction in life were probably the most touching, most humbling, most profound expressions I've ever heard from anybody. And, they're even more powerful coming from someone like Elliott.
And, yes, I cried when he cried.
GODBLESS, ELLIOTT! YOU WILL DO JUST FINE...
goelliott - May 19, 2006 01:30 AM (GMT)
good lord, i thought i could handle it and im crying again! i had chills watching that..i love that guy so much. just so moving.
SylviaRebecca - May 19, 2006 01:30 AM (GMT)
I cried watching that...Elliott was so emotional and so sweet.
God, I love this man!!! Someone snap him up once this AI crap is over and give all of the world a REAL gift...a huge talent in a small, gorgeous, and humble package.

It is on the AI home page Hope this link works - if not you'll see it on top left .
http://www.americanidol.com/videos/?vid=403Be prepared to have Kleenex handy! I thought my tears were done as I had vowed to celebrate his success and after his earlier radio interview with Seacrest I was feeling better - but now this - so poignant . It will tear at your heartstrings .
ccsescape - May 19, 2006 01:48 AM (GMT)
Thanks. I tried a couple of times. Finally when I signed it, it magically appeared. Weird huh!
jujube - May 19, 2006 01:51 AM (GMT)
Oh my god. Just when you think you've gotten over it and you're not sad anymore.
:(
That boy is so honest and so, I don't know, transparent in his emotions. It's like he couldn't be fake or shallow if he tried, it's just not in him.
It's a beautiful thing. ELLIOTT is a beautiful thing.
nanab - May 19, 2006 01:52 AM (GMT)
THAT WAS HARD TO WATCH.....CAN HE BE ANY NICER OF
A PERSON......HE REALLY DESERVED TO GO ALL THE WAY..
I HOPE HE DOES'NT THINK WE LET HIM DOWN....
momzcool - May 19, 2006 02:11 AM (GMT)
It's a heartbreaker to listen to, for sure. Sad and sweet at the same time, just like him.
Oh how I hope as he finds the recognition and accolades he deserves that the vipers don't chew him up and spit him out. He reminds me of early Elvis, so eager to please, so protective of Mother, so generous with fans. And yet, look what fame did to that poor man.
I want him to have everything he yearns for in his career, but I worry that a gentle soul like our Elliott will end up being shafted (just like on Wednesday night).
Ironic that as I type this that horrible show about Diva Lifestyles and their Temper Tantrums is on in the background. I can't quite ever picture him demanding only green m & m's or whatever in his dressing room, God help us.

A jeez. Just when I thought i was all cried out. Amanda? Wonder Woman? Please give your man a great big hug from a fan in Hong Kong. We love us our Elliott.
Gaaaah.
:(

Hey guys! Just joined these boards like 30 seconds ago. :)
I can't view the Exit Interview for some reason... when I click the play button, it sort of loads, says "opening" and stuff like that, and then says "Ready".When I click the play button again, the same stuff happens... :(
elliotisit - May 19, 2006 02:27 AM (GMT)
I am sobbing again.
My husband is still laughing at me and remind me how old I am.
I just told him to "S...Up"
and I cried more.
Outofmymind - May 19, 2006 02:33 AM (GMT)
How can anyone from the AI show see this interview and not think how wrong it was to let Elliott go? Its just so obvious who the real AI is!
BTW whats with the music volume going louder and louder by the end? I could hardly hear what he was saying. Man that sound guy must realy hate Elliott!!!!
daveylow - May 19, 2006 02:39 AM (GMT)
I can't get AI's videos to work on my computer and I have a fairly new Dell PC.
Not sure why.
miyagimayday - May 19, 2006 02:43 AM (GMT)
I am SO PROUD of him!!! (sobbing)
elviselvis - May 19, 2006 03:11 AM (GMT)
OMG. Just as I thought I was done crying... this guy.. I don't know what to say now.. can he be any nicer? fortunately I had a tissue box right next to me.
I've shedded more tears last night and today than I have in the past 5 years. Thank God for Elliott.
Janizzle - May 19, 2006 03:20 AM (GMT)
Wow...I've seen all the exit interviews, and no other was nearly as touching. I had to see it twice. He's really taken so much from this show....love you Elliott!
designer4elliott - May 19, 2006 03:20 AM (GMT)
is anyone else having trouble with the AI website? my computer's telling me it "can't find the server americanidol.com" - for the past 30 mins or so.
i've been waiting all day for this interview!
WhoaNelly - May 19, 2006 03:49 AM (GMT)
Actually, that exit interview cheered me up. It's bittersweet, yes, but not sad at all! It was a growth experience for him and he's mature enough to recognize that. He's focused, he's happy because his future is bright and layed out in front on him like a red carpet. It's like watching the birth of a legend. His humility is touching and his honesty makes him so real and accessible. He couldn't be fakey if he tried. I loved it, I watched it three times. I could learn something from this man. Way to go Elliott, I'm bursting with pride for you! Can't wait to see what happens next!
