| Hi, I wasn't sure whether to go in Off topic, or elsewhere, but since it doesn't really have to do with the AI boards, I guess, I figured I'd post here. I don't know if anyone is interested or not, but in checking some Elliot things out, I came across the Diabetes site. There are walk-a-thons in local areas around all of us at different times throughout the year. I'll be walking in the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation's Walk to Cure Diabetes this year (9/17) in the Litchfield, CT area. I made up a team (only has 4 so far) and ask you to join me if you live in this area. It's for a really good cause. If you are from this area, and want to join my team, the link to join my team is: http://walk.jdrf.org/register.cfm?id=86374408 Or if you want to walk alone, or start your own team, OR live in a different area, you can sign up at: http://walk.jdrf.org/index.cfm?fuseaction=walk.home "Taking part in the Walk is great experience. Not only will you be making a real difference in helping to find a cure that will change the lives of millions... you'll be having FUN, and getting a good workout too!" Thanks! I hope I didn't overstep my bounds. Please accept my apologies if I did. |

| My whole family did the walk for several years (my older sister died from the disease). One year my mother, who uses a walker and is in her 80s, walked the first mile. We all wore t-shirts with my sister's picture on them. |
