Hi, I just sent a pm to another member, but when I check my 'sent items' box, there is no mention of the e-mail I just sent. Is that normal? Now I'm concerned that the pm was never actually sent.

glad someone brought this up. i sent one a few days ago. my mailbox shows i have x total messages, but when i view the inbox and outbox, i see that one is missing and it was a PM. i reviewed the help section, but nothing there to assist.

yes, its weird, there is no record that my pm was sent.

by default, the board does not save your sent messages automatically. if you want to keep a copy of the message that you composed and sent, check the box at the bottom that says

"Add a copy of this message to my sent items folder"

If you want to further ensure that your messages are tracked, check on the "Track this message?" option.

AHHHH SO That is what is happening! I sent two pm's and they were not in my sent box. I was going to create a thread to ask what is going on, but i am glad i read thru first to see if anyone else had the same problem...

also, is there any way to clear the % of your PMs, on the top it says your folders are whatever% full, i've cleared out everything from inbox and sent and still have the percentage, is there anyway to clear it completely?

If you have elected to save Sent Items, make sure that folder is also emptied. Just select "Sent Items" from the drop-down menu on the top right. If BOTH folders are empty and the percentage still shows more than 0% full, it may just be cached info and update on your next visit.

hmmm, its been like that for a while, both folders are completely empty, i usually delete everything a couple times a day, thanks for trying to help though! :)

Okay, you're possibly auto-logged in at all times. Try logging out completely (click "Log Out" next to your name on the top left) and then log in again. See if helps.

Fabb another great suggestion. I also deleted PM's and it didnt delete the percentage, logging out and back in did the trick!

weird, i just tried that and the percentages are still there...oh well. :)
