If this hasn't been posted here yet, go IMMEDIATELY to ew.com and read the Elliott interview. The best yet. And even some insight into him standing up to TPTB (Clive included) and NOT changing the Ray Charles song. I knew how much confidence he had gained, but this says it all, considering the risk he was taking. A true artist. B)

EXCELLENT!!

elliottcrazy - May 19, 2006 01:51 AM (GMT)
Brilliant write up...loved it. The more stuff I read like this the more relaxed & happy I'm becoming. I really don't feel sad any more at all. I think he timed his exit perfectly.

SylviaRebecca - May 19, 2006 01:54 AM (GMT)
Thank you for that. I feel infinitely better after reading that, I really do. Somehow nothing else has made me feel much better today, but this article did. I feel like Elliott really IS fine with being gone from the show, and I am so proud of him for sticking to his song choice (which was BRILLIANT, in my opinion!) rather than giving in to the pressure to change it.

Elliott, you're amazing! I am more and more inspired by you every day.

KateyKat - May 19, 2006 02:00 AM (GMT)
Wow! Great interview. Elliott used the word 'metastasized.' I'm quadruply impressed with him now.

"I felt the opposite of bitter" :D

Yep--I love that title. B) GREAT article.

MOMMAKAT45 - May 19, 2006 02:16 AM (GMT)
What an amazing article...
Talk about class

dcmdf - May 19, 2006 02:24 AM (GMT)
Ok, now I'm crying again.
He's amazing.

Think about what Chris said after he got voted off in comparison.
Nothing against Chris, really, but he acted like he had something owed to him that he wasn't given. Elliott was grateful for every moment.

Wow, what a great guy.

elviselvis - May 19, 2006 02:30 AM (GMT)
He is ADDish? LOL. I love that.

Yeah BC, it seems pretty useless and unproductive to be bitter about how we perceive E was treated by "TPTB", because E's opinion is the ONLY one that matters. If he realizes how far he's come and knows where he's going next, then that's good enough for me.

If you haven't yet listened to it, also check out this media teleconference. It is about 30 minutes. But IMO, worth it.
Elliott displays such class and intelligence, as well as joy. It is so uplifting.

Thank you for a great tip!!!
As a international fan, Skype IS really useful.

Great Interview!!!
It was long but worth it!
He sounded very happy.
I cried again not because I'm sad but I'm happy for him now.
I didn't know Mama Yamin was that sick.
She was in ICU when he left for Hollywood.
Grad she's fine now and could see her son on the stage growing and shining!!!
