Title: Is This Allowed?
Almost40ElliottFan - May 29, 2006 01:10 AM (GMT)
I have a question. If I find something interesting on another Elliot board, can I post it here if it has not been posted yet?? Or at least if I don't think its been posted yet? I don't want to do anything "illegal", LOL! I am on another ex-AI contestant fan board and its brutal over there. You have to be really careful what you say or you get "bluelined" for it. I hardly ever post there anymore, I have only posted maybe 4 times and every singe time the Mods would get to me to slap my wrist for saying the wrong thing. Not quoting, please don't send one lined posts, already been posted, please read the 100 pages prior to make sure it hasn't been posted yet, yadda yadda yadda. Can you tell I have a complex? Anyhoo, I really love this group and I feel way more welcome here than on the other board so I want to make sure I don't ever post anything not allowed. Besides, my other crush from last year is fading fast thanks to E!!!
Thanks!

I would post this in the suggestions forum. You can also ask a question. Click on Etrain, and you'll find the appropriated link. :)

Well we obviously want people to check around a little to attempt to not make duplicate topics but overall we welcome information. If it's a repeat, you'll be pointing towards the original thread. No wrist slapping here....that's kinda silly!

Thanks, I got scared when my post got moved and thought, "Oh no, here we go again", LOL!!!!!

I'm glad you said this, because in the Media folder there are two and three posts on several of the same topics. I don't think people are looking before they post to see if it's already there. It gets a little cumbersome.

Nope don't worry about that. It's just (usually me) us trying to keep things organized. Moving threads is NEVER our way of being rude or upset over the post at all! :)

Great, thanks so much! This is such a positive experience, way better than what I have been dealing with other places.

Merging threads is a great idea. On the AI boards, I was about to lose my mind as the "where was elliott" threads the night of the ET episode were coming out in huge numbers...I was asking people to please check to see if the question is already asked first, but there are so many people on that board it would be very hard to manage.

yamingirl do you notify the oP that the Topic has been moved?
DoxieChickLuvsE - May 30, 2006 06:23 PM (GMT)
Good question GoGo. I would probably assume my topic had been deleted if no one told me it was moved. Then I would stress out thinking i wrote something inappropriate!

It's linked with the text "moved" in front of it for awhile so everyone can see the topic was moved and where to.
