Was that the show that went under fire last time it was on because it was rigged or something?
Lene - May 30, 2006 04:22 PM (GMT)
I followed the first one a lot. I like this show, although sometimes it's annoying when the jokes are bad.
I also wish that AI would look into doing their show like this, where you'd focus more on the relationships of the contestants inside the house. But who knows...what they have works, so I doubt they'd change.
oosh - May 30, 2006 04:24 PM (GMT)
In the beginning of AI they did some footage of contestants at their home. Basically just showing what the house was like. But I know what you mean Lene. On the other hand if they did that it would be classifed as a reality show instead of a talent competition which is how they are going with AI.

I don't think so Berkana. I do remember the last show wasn't aired, and it was the show that was going to say who the winner was. I couldn't believe it. Apparently cause the ratings weren't good, so they just yanked it.
There was a message board for that show too:

I liked that show! I didn't know it was coming back! Yay! :D
Ramona Brave - May 30, 2006 05:56 PM (GMT)
I was rooting for Dat Phan. I loved the first one, but felt very meh on the second installment.
Lene - May 30, 2006 05:57 PM (GMT)
About that article, it's exactly what happens in American Idol before the semifinals...I mean I doubt the 3 judges have all the say in who makes it to the Top 24...so I think that they shouldn't get too mad at things. It *is* a TV show.
GypsyNFla - May 30, 2006 08:12 PM (GMT)
I liked John Heffron and Alfonzo.
Ramona Brave - May 31, 2006 12:18 AM (GMT)
LOL, that one dude said, "I"m sweating more than Ryan Seacreast watching Brokeback Mountain" Ha!
Go Doug Benson!
Ramona Brave - May 31, 2006 02:04 AM (GMT)
Nobody else saw this show tonight? It was a riot.
SoulMusicRocks - June 4, 2006 08:07 AM (GMT)
This show is hilarious at times.
yoli68 - June 4, 2006 10:52 PM (GMT)
I watched it and there were a lot of really funny comics but some of the people that went through I didn't think were funny at all. Like the girl with all the energy and the lisp....I didn't think she was funny at all.
Medellia - June 5, 2006 03:54 AM (GMT)
question: what are the rules to be able to audition? i am wondering because my favorite comedian, gabriel iglesias, got through the auditions and through the next round. he is the fluffy latino in the orange hawaiian shirt. gabriel was voted comedian of the year a couple of years ago on comedy central and i have been to at least 4 of his shows, plus i have his dvd and cd. so...professionals can audition too??

Yeah, root for Fluffy! That's how he signed his name on my CD, lol! The last time I went to his show, he kept the club open for an extra hour with completely new material. The waitstaff probably wasn't happy but the audience sure as hell was. :D He even brought his mom up on stage before so everyone could meet her, he loves her a lot. (Sound like someone else we know??)

Whoa, I forgot about this thread, and I started it... lol
Wow, you got to see him live? Hey, he sounds like a cool guy. :D
I missed the show tonight. We got to talking with some neighbors and I realized I was missing it. I'll have to check when the rerun is on again.

Hi Ramona, I forgot about this thread.
I missed it tonight, did you catch it tonight (6/6)?
I was on the LCS message boards last week. One of the fans saw Chris Porter's show and said he was hilarious.

yes, i go to his show every time he comes to town. i've talked to him, he is really cool. i told him that the first time i saw him, i was all the way in the back and could hardly see him because he was so small. he said thanks, no one has ever told me i'm small! :rotfl:
Amunet - June 7, 2006 03:57 AM (GMT)
Rofl... he sounds like a cool guy.
YAY! I'm glad Josh? Blue is going through! WOO! He's so funny.. Going to hell for laughing at him ehehehe...
I didn't like some of the people they let through though.
Like the redheaded woman with bad posture... the one that walks with her butt sticking out.
Didn't like that black woman either that they let through.
There were som funnier people in that bunch.
Medellia - June 7, 2006 05:00 AM (GMT)
I didn't like any of the women.
But YAY for Josh Blue! :D

lol!
I really miss going to comedy shows. I have to see if they have any shows in my area. We used to go to comedy club nights back in Pennsylvania.
It was my favorite way to spend an evening out:)

I like Josh Blue too. I can't wait to see the rerun. Bummed out that I missed it last night.

I agree. I thought that redheaded woman was boring (fat jokes?) and the guy with the curly red hair had nothing new (not Josh Blue--the guy who told the France jokes). I wished they had taken the woman who told jokes about her salesman father and the scary biker dude. They were different.
Amunet - June 14, 2006 03:52 AM (GMT)
Ugh... yet more people who got through that didn't deserve it.
I mean come on!!! WTH are they thinking letting some of them through?
Like that pregnant woman?? SHe wasn't even funny!! The timing on her stuff was just all off NM that her jokes were just boring and lame.
And then they let the little short woman through? Huh? What part of her routine was funny? I must've blinked b/c I missed it.
At least Fluffy got through though...
I'm gonna be cheering for the Fluff man and Josh Blue... I loved that comment in the preview for the commercial..."If he rolls over I'm dead.."... HA! He's awesome  :rocker:
SoulMusicRocks - June 14, 2006 11:23 AM (GMT)
Wow, it seems like they are going for the American Idol balance...top 12 of 6 guys and 6 girls.

I don't know what they were thinking with some of their choices. The prego chick--not funny--she may go into early labor from all the stress and drama of living in that house. I liked the guy who was a former high school teacher and the last guy, Doug Benson (he does stuff for Best Week Ever on VH1) but neither of them were picked. I don't know what they were thinking. I'm rooting for Josh Blue! :cheerleader:
Medellia - June 14, 2006 05:37 PM (GMT)
awww, man! i guess i missed it. i thought the show was airing tonight! anyone know if are they showing a rerun tonight?
Outofmymind - June 14, 2006 05:43 PM (GMT)
They picked plenty of women this time. The girl with the heavy Lisp showed her boobies (with the bra on) and taped her head all around at some point (i didn' get the joke but it was funny) And then the judges asked her if it was painful, and she said yes. Too bad she didn't make it. I think they made good choices overal.

Check the Bravo network, they re-run a few of NBC's reality shows. I'm sure it will be on there.

Some of the choices last night had me scratching my head also.
So far, I like Josh, Roz and the former high school teacher.

i was going to watch this show but i didnt quite work out. im always on here. last season was hilarious tho. =)
Edub - June 15, 2006 03:56 AM (GMT)
I liked Dat Phan before and Ant last season...
So far I'm rooting for Ros and Gabriel- they really should have let the guy from FL w/ the dreads go through [can't remember his name!]- I thought he was pretty funny.

they let you vote on 1 of 5 people that you want to bring back to the house on the website- that should be interesting.
i think they put some people through for sheer drama value- those previews looked a little crazy!
Is it me or does that guy remind you of Ludacris?
