Looks like we are all freaking out right along with you. No one can think of great questions to ask him.
Obviously questions regarding his future plans are out of the question because they are not allowed to talk about that.
Sorry I'm not being helpful but I can only think of the teeny questions like 'What is your favourite food' or 'What do you like to do in your spare time'. I'm sure the other board members can come up with intellegent questions to ask E. I am efuzzled right now :) .

Ask him if the finale song they were going to have him sing was as crappy as Kats! *JK*

Here are some questions I would ask:

1. What have you learned about yourself from this American Idol experience?
2. What other artist's songs would you like to sing besides Donny Hathaway and Stevie Wonder?
3. What singers would you like to collaborate with in the future?

Ask him what song's he will sing on the tour, and tell him he HAS to sing Home!

I would ask ELLIOTT how he feels about having a big fanbase pretty much overnight and the level of support he has received from his fans. I would also ask about his collaborations with Big Planz, if he can comment on it.

Everyone says to ask how it changed his life, how he feels. Honestly, if I were you, Iwouldn't ask that - because every reporter is going to ask him that - ask him something appropriate but that no one else would have asked.

Some things I was curious about:

What finale song was he going to sing?
What songs is he singing on the tour?
Passtimes? Hobbies?
Favorite movies, books, albums?
How he felt about his lack of screen time (auditions, etc) compared to others?

Ask him:

"Elliott, how does it feel to have one of the most downloaded songs on the Internet this week? As an individual, you were on the iTunes Hot 100 with Moody's Mood, made it to their top 40. Do you feel those sales individually are a validation of your talent? People want to buy your music!"

I think that would be a POSITIVE; make people take NOTICE; get heads turning, and make people think "he can sell records"!

Just an idea if any of you are going to the tapings or going to call into the radio program!!

Ask him how he got so :thud:worthy!

No seriously, ask what he plans to have his first album sound like (More r&b? More jazz? More something else?)

I particularly like the second one because we know he'll say basketball for the first one. Maybe ask him what a typical day in his life was like pre-AI. Make sure you sneak in a glowing compliment about his voice before asking the question. :)

You know, I've only had one question kicking around in my head, and I probably shouldn't repeat it, but I'm just curious as to whether he was conscious of the irony of the lyrics to "Home" when he chose it. I'll be frank--I giggled when he sang it. I couldn't help myself, as lovely as it was. "Send me home, please let me go home." Now I've gotten used to it, so I can listen to it as I should, and it's absolutely gorgeous, but at the time, I just snickered. :( But in a friendly way, you know. Or something.
