I was planning to buy a Yaminions shirt for the concert but my heart is really with the Etrain and has been since I jumped on back at the AI boards. Are there any plans for us to have our own for the tour or are there going to be any "official" shirts coming out from the family and friends?

Personally I would rather wear an Etrain shirt but would also like it if they were the same instead of each of us making our own.

I think we should all come up with a shirt design and choose which we like the best and have that person make them and sell them. I know someone who is a wonderful artist that can do this for us and I know there is a place in town that will make them cheap.

Give me some ideas and I'll have him work on some drawings. Also some Quotes are what not to put on the design. I'll see what we can come up with.

I actually have an idea that I'm working on. I want to have a green shirt with an elliott silhouette ala iPod ad. The white line usually used for the white headphones will lead into the word "elliott". I could put "E - T R A I N" right below it.

I started toying around with one tonight but I need the perfect Elliott picture that'll work as a silhouette. You need to still be able to tell it's him.

I'm not sure if I can share it yet. It takes a little while before CafePress approves a design for sale.

Anyway, I took a picture of him and did a simple green version of it, so it's like a...I'm not sure what the word is...well, whatever. It's simple, but it's him. And I wrote his name above it with a green drop shadow. I couldn't find a good "Elliott font." Does anyone out there make fonts? Can we make an Elliott font? :)

I was also thinking it might be cool to do a variation on the old "Soul Train" logo with the groovy 70s train, but have E-train on there instead.

I like the iPod idea, but it'd be hard to make him recognizable unless you left some of it unblackened. I've made some iPod LJ icons, and it's so much easier when it's obvious, like Yoda. :)

What about a shirt that has all the groups together? Is that a crazy idea?
Since we all are fans of Elliott, it seems to me it would make everyone looked more united at the AI concerts. The shirt could communicate something like "E-trainers, Yaminions united in our love of Elliott"

Can I make a suggestion? I will buy an E-train /Elliott shirt no matter what, but it's heading into summer and I'd much rather have the option to buy a tank top or at least a capped sleeve fitted shirt. Not a t-sheet gal myself.. Just a thought :rolleyes:

I know it doesn't say E-train, but Rickey came up with with a great E logo. It says EDUB in a cool font and then says Elliott. I loved it. Check out Rickey's site: rickey.org. There's talk of a shirt.

I also think it would be a good idea if we all had the same shirt. But how to do that, is the question. And I don't have an answer. But if anyone does, that would be great!

In the AI Tour Forum there is a pinned thread about wearing green to support Elliott at the tour. I think this would be the best place for discussions about T-Shirt designs. We had a thread going over the weekend about this too. I'm gonna see if I can find it and put the link there. There were some good ideas there.

I personally wanted to make my own shirt for Elliott. I thought it would be fun to make my own shirt but I don't want to be the odd one out not wearing an E-train/Yaminion shirt. hMmMM...decisions, decisions!

Go down almost to the bottom were it says AI Tour and then go to Tour Chat. It's on the main page with all the different forums....the man, the music, etc but keep going down and you will see it. Click on Tour Chat and you will see the pinned thread on wearing green for Elliott.

That's the tough part because you might want a design that somebody else doesn't like. What if we all just do what we want and make sure that somewhere on on shirt it says E-Train?

I think it's a great idea. As a member of the Anwarriors (for Anwar Robinson), last year someone made a shirt and all members got one.

I don't think we can use his full name or his last name on a large scale. I mean, it's okay for me to make one just for me that has his name or picture but when I start mass producing them, then we're in copyright infringement territory.

I'm pretty sure that AI owns his name and likeness at this point.
