THEY SEEMED TO REALLY LIKE MOODY'S MOOD. HOPE THEY START PLAYING IT.
Wow, how adorable was that interview? I've been listening since 6 am waiting for that interview. For those who didn't hear it, Scott anD Todd on WPLJ NYC 95.5 FM first put on a little snippet of Moody's Mood. Then Elliott came on and Patty Steele said that he sounded a little like Bobby Short (huh-? don't think so Patty). They asked how he knew about that song, which is weird for me because I have always loved that song and never realized it was that obscure. Elliott answered that it was on a Qunincy Jones soundtrack (forgot which) and also mentioned other artists who have covered it. He said he learned of it about 6 yrs. ago and had always sung it around friends. The recurring comments he made were how grateful and honored he is to have been part of the AI experience, how glad he is to be going on the tour and being able to share his "gift" with the public.
He said he was looking forward to going back to his home state and they added another concert date at another venue in VA so now there will be 2 venues with concerts there.
They asked about when his cd will be out and he danced around that. Said that there was a 90 day period after AI when they were still under contractual obligation. But something like "don't worry, I will have time to work on my project." The dj's then said that after it was announced that he would be interviewed today their mailbag was flooded with letters. They read one and the writer said she hoped he would sing Moody's Mood because she loved his smooth and sexy voice. Elliott just laughed an adorable laugh and repeated "sexy" in a so ,sexy way. OMG He is just too cute.
Cant't wait to hear him on Regis and Kelly. Kat was on at approx. 9:35 am eastern time, so Elliott will be on around then also. How I wish I was at the studio right now!
