I had never heard of her before today, just that she has an annoying voice.
Am I the only one who thinks Rita sounds like Vera DeMilo. Remember the lady body builder character that was played by Jim Carrie on "In Living Color". I could hear Rita saying, "That's where I keep my chewing tobacco...errherherherher"
For those of you who are unfamiliar with the character, judge for yourself.

Scurvous, Jon Stewart on "The Daily Show" refers to her as "Throaty McHuskington." :lol: Seriously, when she used to be on right after Keith Olbermann I would dive for the remote because her voice is like fingernails on a blackboard. :clubbed:

She seems like a nice enough woman at least in that interview (never even heard of her before).... she does have the voice of the char in Transamerica.
Just sounds like that fake deep voice women do when imitating a man.

Her voice is annoying...but I have always liked her. She did an amazing job covering the D.C. sniper story. I remember being so impressed that her coverage was so much better than the big names....and I thought her interview with Elliott was by far the best of the TV interviews...so I can put up with her weird voice!

Agreed, but actually her voice doesn't bother me at all.
Besides I like watching her interviews, she's always been very professional and nice.
