lindagt - June 2, 2006 10:34 AM (GMT)
On B103.7 now! Answering questions!! About why he wasn't on ET!

lindagt - June 2, 2006 10:36 AM (GMT)
This is a GREAT interview! It is so personal!

Janizzle - June 2, 2006 10:37 AM (GMT)
I always love the radio interviews :)

lindagt - June 2, 2006 10:37 AM (GMT)
He's talking about the flat iron!!!! Little Hottie!

squeegee - June 2, 2006 10:37 AM (GMT)
What did he say?

Janizzle - June 2, 2006 10:38 AM (GMT)
Aw! Flatiron! He's too scared to use it...poor E!

lindagt - June 2, 2006 10:38 AM (GMT)
He's says he'll bee home soon! He's talking soo much I can't keep up!

lindagt - June 2, 2006 10:41 AM (GMT)
He says he missed ET because he was staying with his cousin and his cell phone was dead and he didn't get the message when the taping was going to be!

He says Claudette injured her hip when she was in Richmond, but wouldn't come home until after the finale for surgery.

He says he needs to learn to use the flat iron - he apparently got our messages!

Janizzle - June 2, 2006 10:41 AM (GMT)
His mom really is a trooper. I'm glad she's recovering quickly. That's love right there.

lindagt - June 2, 2006 10:42 AM (GMT)
He said he'll be home soon - but would not be specific - I thnk he wants to come in under the radar...he mentioned the show here was just after his birthday - we've got to do something SPECIAL at the concert!

That's hilarious....his cell died, that's just such a normal thing! I still wish he was on the show, geeze. And I thought he had 5 cell phones now?? :rotfl:

lindagt - June 2, 2006 10:49 AM (GMT)
Both the DJ's - man and woman - offered to teach him how to use the flat iron :rotfl: :rotfl:

mars_mg - June 2, 2006 10:59 AM (GMT)
okay, so i missed it! dang clock! who could post it here?

jensolo5 - June 2, 2006 11:00 AM (GMT)
crap. it's freakin' 5:55am here. how on earth did i miss this already?? i thought it was later.

xtn4e - June 2, 2006 11:02 AM (GMT)
Hopefully one of the many resourceful people here managed to record it (or at the very least get a transcript).

Kinda feels weird though that E missed the taping because his phone was dead.

lindagt - June 2, 2006 11:04 AM (GMT)
Actually I totally believe that - that's why I wondered why people didn't jump to THAT sort of conclusion instead of some of the other wild things that came up!

I'm hopelessly technically illiterate, but I'll bet they replay it sometime this morning. I'll try to email the station to find out.

jensolo5 - June 2, 2006 11:06 AM (GMT)
is it still going?

Janizzle - June 2, 2006 11:06 AM (GMT)
On yaminmachine I thought it said he'd speak during the 7:00 hour...has this been confirmed?

lindagt - June 2, 2006 11:08 AM (GMT)
it's done - hoping they will replay it.

lindagt - June 2, 2006 11:10 AM (GMT)
Oh - forgot to tell you - he said during the R & K commercial break he was jumping up and down beside Vince Vaughn to try to reach his head - he was making fun of himself being so short next to Vince - what a cutie!!!

jensolo5 - June 2, 2006 11:11 AM (GMT)
damn that was early!!!!!! can you link us to the website so we can start listeing live? i can't remember what the radio link was from yesterday.

1037morings.com or something like that.......help!

lindagt - June 2, 2006 11:13 AM (GMT)
mix1037.com - and it does stream. I'll post if they say they are going to replay.

Ah well I didn't have any conspiracy theory on this. I guess I am just thinking that it seems slightly unprofessional that he misses a big thing because his phone is dead. I know that if I set up a meeting at work and someone didn't show up because he didn't get the message because his phone was dead I wouldn't be too pleased. So on some level I was hoping that he maybe did have some other event to attend or whatever. But anyway I guess it's not such a big deal.

LOL, that would've been so funny to see.

lindagt - June 2, 2006 11:15 AM (GMT)
Well you're right - but I'll bet that was a valuable lesson for him. It's certainly not going to cost him a record deal.

At least! Funny I never realized Vince was so tall - because he's not all that thin - but next to Elliott, he looked at least a foot taller!

Scurvous - June 2, 2006 11:22 AM (GMT)
I remember Elliott mentioning the game telephone, where you say something to one person and see how it changes as it goes though the chain. It makes me think of how rumors get out of hand.

Batteries dead = Elliott or his mom is dead or dying.

Honestly, I was a bit taken back by this news of him not being on the show because his cell phone died. I just don't know.... Makes me feel kind of odd inside. I know he said he has always had trouble following through with things. I hope he is not revisiting that.
I love him completely but, I hate to say this, that just seems really irresponsible to me.
I just would not have expected this from him. These media spots are extremely important right now.
What do you guys think?

BarbaraK - June 2, 2006 12:27 PM (GMT)
Did anybody record the interview? I didn't know that there was going to be one today.

Maybe after that little incident he bought himself FOUR more cell phones, so he won't ever miss another message or appointment again. :P

Bad Elliott, bad! You made us worried sick!

But we still lurve ya baby!! :glomp:
