Title: Worst Singer/band/group Ever
Description: Your thoughts?

ekgcekgc - June 3, 2006 04:35 AM (GMT)
Who are the artists that make you cringe when you hear them come on the radio, or see them on TV?

For me, it's:

The Yin Yang twins (yuck!)
Lil' John and the Eastside boys (double yuck!)
Britney Spears

thecutehippie - June 3, 2006 04:43 AM (GMT)
There's not really a whole lot I don't like...except these two:

Nickelback

&

Ashlee Simpson

LOTR Fan 71281 - June 3, 2006 04:57 AM (GMT)
Britney Spears and the Backstreet Boys.

Scurvous - June 3, 2006 06:10 AM (GMT)
Spice Girls
Britney Simpson
KC & Kujo

shatner8 - June 4, 2006 02:27 AM (GMT)
Jessica Simpson and Nick Lachey, both horrible
Ashley Simpson, horrid as well

Wahntchre - June 4, 2006 03:18 AM (GMT)
Who here hates Hanson? I do.

(Try saying THAT five times fast!)

Medellia - June 4, 2006 04:57 AM (GMT)

You hate Hanson?!

Do you hate them because of Mmmbop? And if so, have you heard any of there newer stuff?

If you have heard there newer stuff. (Stuff from there Underneith album.) And still think they suck, then that's okay. But just as long as you've heard there new stuff.

I'm not sure who I think are the worst ever. I think Avril Lavigne is up there among the worst.

SoulMusicRocks - June 4, 2006 10:22 AM (GMT)

Sorry but I really used to be into Jodeci back in the day. Then a point came when I realized that the music was good to groove to, but really nothing special. However, because it was part of my highschool experience, it still means a lot to me. KC and Jojo should have left it at that. When they went and did their own thing, they became the worst possible R&B stereotype...a lot of screams, rips and whines. And the shirless crackhead look just isn't in anymore. "All My Life" was one of those songs that nearly made me wreck my car because I lost concentration while rushing to change the radio station.

Ok, I had to vent. I'm ok now.

Sorry if you're a fan of theirs. I know I'm probably in the minority among R&B fans. That's ok, none of you know where I live. :protest: :P

sheila1221 - June 5, 2006 01:40 AM (GMT)
Let's not forget Milli Vanilli!! Those dudes are funny! (Actually, I liked them until I found out about the scam.)

SylviaRebecca - June 5, 2006 01:50 AM (GMT)
I'm going to say this and then run away FAST...in order to dodge all of the things thrown at me.

I think this singer has the worst, the most nasally sounding voice on Earth, and I have NO IDEA why people love him like they do...

Willie Nelson!! :outtahere:

:rotfl: Nah, I was mostly teasing. I can understand what you mean by that. I did like that song "All my life", but most of the other stuff I didn't really like. I did like Jodeci...but as you say, it was more of a "high school" (for me junior high...lol) thing. Hehe...yeah, don't worry, I won't try and come find you anytime soon!!! :P

LOL I love me some Jodeci too....As an R&B Diva...Jodeci was wonderful! With classics such as Forever My Lady, Come and Talk to Me, and Cry For You...I was hooked! I do agree though....after Jodeci split in half...K Ci and Jojo sorta losted the edge....I loved All My Life and Tell Me It's Real but that was about it!

Lindsay Lohan...I saw her ruin the song "Edge of Seventeen" by Stevie Nicks on some award show this past year. It was horrendous X 100. Stevie Nicks should have sued her. It was THAT appalling.

Jessica Simpson...Horrible. On shows where she's singing live, it looks like she is trying to pleasure the microphone. Sorry, I just can't stand her.

Ashlee Simpson...Horrible. Oh, but she has acid reflux so we should forgive her. Um, no.

William Hung...poor kid probably doesn't even know he sucks.

I actually felt bad for those guys. I think they actually could sing, but the record label wanted other voices and their images. The one guy ended up committing suicide afterwards. :(

Yeah, he had a long downward slide that found him committing petty theft to support his drug habit. Eventually he just gave up I guess. Definitely sad.

Oh and if Simpson ruins one more classic tune I will hunt her down and we WILL box. Ok she is a woman so I'll tie my hands and feet but I will hop over head bunt the hell out of that chick. For real. Arrgh!

OMG I was so mad when Jessica redid Take My Breath Away from Top Gun. I mean, that song should never have been touched by anyone ever again after Berlin. She oversings everything.

And then there are the kids that swear by Jessica's version. It makes me feel like I'm in some alternate, bizarro universe, where up is down and left is right and Jessica Simpson is worth listening to.

I know. It is like living in bizarro world or something. Oh, and I forgot about These Boots are Made For Walkin. Ugh. Poor Nancy Sinatra.

Hilary duff (worse than lindsey because she can't even act)
Lindsey Lohan
Ashlee Simpson
Britney Spears
Jessica Simpson
Paris Hilton (why is she becoming a singer???)
Enrique Iglesias can't sing very well either
50 cent and most rap acts
William Hung
Those pretty much top the list.

I really can't stand John Mayer. (I'm soooooo blacklisted now!  ) I certainly don't think he's "the worst ever" but I'm sick of everyone saying I "should" like him based on what I listen to. I don't. At all.

Any screamfest type music.
I'll just add Paris Hilton to the list before its even released. :eww: :bawl:

Exactly. But the same thing happens with most remakes...people who don't know the original swear by the new one, which sucks most of the time (there have been very few remakes that have actually been good, IMO.

akaphd08 - June 7, 2006 07:03 AM (GMT)

I used to kind of like Jessica Simpson... and then something just totally changed and now I can't stand her. I have to change the channel when she's on.

Keyshia Coles voice drives me insane. I want to kick things when I hear her screetch. I actually like 50 cent though :) I saw Get Rich or Die Trying in the theater lol...

I refuse to listen to anything Avril Lavigne puts out. I can't stand her voice...

Paris Hilton sounds like a cheap Gwen Stefani to me.

I love Enrique. I saw him in concert twice, and he sounded awesome. I love his Spanish ballads, especially. He writes and produces a lot of his own music, and sings in at least three languages. I respect the fact that he used a different last name when he was shopping his demo around, so that he didn't get preferential treatment for who his father is.

I'd pick him over Ricky Martin any day. I was never a fan.
