I am not bitter that Taylor won Idol, but i cannot hide my disappointment STILL in Chris, Elliott and Taylor not being our Final Three.

Polls and record sales show the REAL results. I do not know how Kat made Final Two without some Idol intervention. I wont say voting is rigged, but i guess the way they propped her for the spot didnt hurt.

I would have been fine with E in Final Two spot. I think Taylor WAS the better performer, not singer, but if you factor in Taylors performing skills, his magnetic personality and the way he connects with the audience, overall star package his percentage would be a little higher than E's. But E should have been in that freaking Finale.

That Finale would have BEEN THE MOST MEMORABLE TV EVENT FOR ME if he had been in it.

Two Josh Gracin? No Bo? Think? Who chose these?

I guess I just did not see the Taylor you saw. I disagree utterly with your description of him. I thought he mailed most of his "performances" in and relied on a voting strategy by his fan base to pull him through week to week. If you listen to the mp3's of his songs, they are PAINFUL...he is so often off key and out of voice. He never did connect with me except when he played his harmonica.

I do not think any of the contestants in the top ten this year were particularly good "performers." Elliott did as well as anyone in that regard AND has the best voice and great charisma. Also, Elliott obviously connected with his audience--not the same old one but any entirely new one comprised of persons who never heard him before.

Exactly no Bo and only one Elliott song? What kind of a list is this?

oosh - June 3, 2006 09:14 PM (GMT)
Yes Bo killed on Whipping Post that I can think of off hand. And Kat did real nice with Until You Come Back to Me. of course E just was the stand out performer on everything he did.

They are only listing songs they have in their database. This season's stars only have one song there so far.

I am also wondering why Josh Gracin is listed twice. I don't know any of his songs... :tumbleweed:

You'd think they would have Diana and Bo in there, instead of Mandisa and Josh.. but whatever. As long as E is there, lol.

P.S. Only chris, taylor and elliott are in the Top 200 :D

Exactly. And the Jasmine Trias version of "Midnight Train to Georgia," but not Paris'? And Kat's "Think"? The fact that Jasmine and Josh are on that list definitely makes it lose some credibility for me...but at least they made it up by putting E's MMFL! (Of course, if I wrote the list, it'd be half E!)
