Go E!!! That definitely shows who the TRUE top 3 are...

Love it! I can see why Chris is so high on the charts, his remake is really good...and am listening to it now.

My husband got the American Idol CD cause he's a Taylor fan and I wanted Elliott's song so we compromised...but there a few others on here that are really good too. I'm impressed actually.

Go E! :)

Thanks for sharing this. Elliott's MMFL is my favorite of course, but I also really like Melissa McGhee's What About Love and was surprised at how good her recorded voice sounds. Other favorites from the cd include Mandisa's I'm Every Woman and Paris Bennett's Midnight Train to Georgia.

no prob-- the fact that E's more "obscure" song charted that high basically on sales alone is an incredible feat.

I finally got a chance to listen to all the tracks on the album and was actually quite disappointed. MMFL was awesome, I also enjoyed Melissa's and Ace's track- even Paris' and Mandisa's versions seemed a little off to me...

I only downloaded Elliott's MMFL. Not really interested in anyone else's at this point in time.

I enjoyed the version of Moody's Mood For Love on the American Idol CD. Elliott has an amazing recording voice and I hope this one song continues to grow in popularity throughout the country and world. When you think about it, now it is really up to us to promote E and really buy/request his material because it is what will boast an even stronger career/future.

This is great news! MMFL is my personal favorite and probably the strongest track on the CD!

I admit I love the songs from Chris, Melissa and Paris as well.

I also like Taylor's and Ace's songs to my surprise.

The other day, I was reading some news about how two idols have succesfully penetrated the billboard charts. I was dismayed when I found out E wasn't among these (Chris and Tay)..

NOW I'M SO HAPPY! having E on the charts is a vindication for all of us.

Thanks for sharing that! Kind of wished it was Elliott who topped all the other Idols, but I still think he did amazingly well considering his cover was of an obscure jazz song. Go Elliott! :D

I think E's debut is definitely a strong showing- but we'll have to keep working to keep his name out there for now. It will be interesting to see album/single sales once everyone's full length albums drop- that will be the real test.

:goodpost: Thanks! Yeah, I can see why Chris's song is doing well...he did it well in the competition, and the track sounds good. I agree with the poster who said that the three guys were the REAL top three.
