Thinking about the tour, I had an idea. What about Elliott fans in tour cities contacting their local papers or the reporter that covers concerts about Elliott ahead of time. It would bring Elliott to their attention and hopefully a story will give info to people that read the paper but not nessicarly watch AI. I also considered that in Richmond I am sure will have a story on Elliott being that this his hometown.I am not sure if this is a good or bad idea. Maybe if people could respond and we could organize it for the cities on the tour ?

Sorry. I was not sure how to do a poll but since the tour starts in a month and if we decide this is a good idea we sholud get organized.

That's a great idea to remind them especially of Elliott's finale perfomances and backstory. I'm not worried about Richmond - there will be an all out media blitz here - it might as well be called the Elliott tour instead of the American Idols Tour!

I would e-mail the editor of the entertainment section of the local paper a week or so before the tour comes to town.

Usually papers will have a short blurb talking up the tour- sometimes the weekend entertainment section might have a full write up and interview as well. Who knows- there could be some Yaminion editors out there :) who might want to focus their article on E.

I don't live in an exact city. And I think they are going to be all over their presence. It's a great suggestion.

That sounds like an awesome idea. You would be reaching a broader audience that may include some potential new fans.
