I share the general feeling I've seen expressed that the AOL poll is rather pointless, but I hate that when I look at the results of "Who Really Should Have Won", I see Elliott at 11%. So I can't resist voting again. Here's the link:

And here's the suggestion for making it less tedious and time-consuming to vote:

Resize windows so that you have some space at the top of your screen. Open another copy of Internet Explorer and resize it to be like a banner that will fit above your reading window. Then as you read the message boards, just wander up to the banner window and vote every so often. It's an easy poll for voting and they even encourage multiple votes.

I think the only people who vote here are teenagers. Sorry to say I'm not one so I'm not putting to much stock on this poll. I still voted though! :P

On the AOL discussion board in one of the many kat bashing threads someone said "just look Kat is #1 on who really should have won" like that just proved everyone wrong. But, I think most people who see it know it doesn't mean anything... I hope they do at least!

I've been voting as well. Throughout this season though, the poll hasn't been very consistent. I agree with whoever said it is mostly teens that vote on that poll.

I'm not sure if they ever zero'd that poll out. Kat and Kelly have always been #1... and Elliott near bottom. I use to vote like 10x or more a day when AI was on. I started on the AOL AI boards, but there are definitely too many not so nice kids posting there anyway. I had to leave.


Wow you all pulled him up to #3. Over Chris and Taylor. Not sure I ever saw him there. :)

We got him up to 15% and 3rd place. The gap in percentages between him and the other 2 is too great for me to continue voting.

At the beginning of the season, I would check the polls and vote, but it became apparent that fan bases were taking over early and establishing rather ridiculous leads. Then in reading the various forums, I came across a post stating that the author's sister had a program and voted 200,000 for one of the contestants in the AOL poll. So I stopped even checking the polls let alone voting in them.

Around the time of the top 6 I realized that many casual observers do give credence to the polls when one of my friends saw the results of the MSNBC poll and said that Elliott was in big trouble. So I started voting for Elliott again. :D I seriously doubt that it will make one bit of difference in his career, but I felt good about doing it.

The AOL poll is worthless but I'm still glad that Elliott is up to 15%. :rolleyes:

Right now Elliott is at 22% in 2nd place. We might be able to get him to number 1 here. Keep voting E-trainers.

Another thing you can do is open 4 or 5 copies (depending on your screen size) of Windows Explorer, resize them for the poll to fit nicely being sure you get both the picture of Elliott and the vote again button in the window. By the time you click on Elliott's picture for the fifth time, the vote again button should already be visible in the first window. Thus you can get 4-5 times the number of votes in the same time period.

well, he's at 22% now, only behind Kat...she was always first on the aol poll it used to drive me crazy!

I admit I had almost given up on AOL polls, E was always near the bottom (his percentage seemed stuck at 6%) and Kat/Kellie always winning. Imagine my shock when I just visited the poll and Elliott was in second place with 24%. Oh wow, you mean our votes actually count? :blink:

Kat has gone down 3% and E up 4 % in ONE DAY - keep hitting it hard now that pink Kellie is not blocking our E anymore :poke:

That's great. Now if only we could get Kat out of the way. :clubbed:

I seriously think some horny teenager rigged AOL for Kat to stay in first place. The girl has not moved out of that spot since day one!

We got to keep voting on Moosak because it seems that there are less people voting, and Clay is moving very fast, he was #20 yesterday and is now #7 almost #6. His board is more active than ours. We got to keep voting on that poll too!

No offense to Clay fans BUT where did they come from all of a sudden, were they threaten by the E-train fans??? Clays sold millions, why are they there????They have nothing to prove

Yeah someone on moosak explained the aol poll was a runoff or something so the results don't show immediately. The post ran off the bottom before I could read it.
