What upcoming summer movies are you already anxious for?
I don't know about any of you, but I'm going crazy with anticipation for the new Pirate of the Caribbean movie. I can't wait!

A Prairie Home Companion. directed by Robert Altman with a stellar cast.

You guys pretty much covered it. Prairie Home Companion, yeah! Love the radio show. And Altman and Keilor, hummm? And the cast, Meryl Streep, Lily Tomlin, Kevin Kline. Should be kickin'! And you gotta love pretty much anything Johnny Depp does. Love his Jack Sparrow!

I really wanna see Pirates 2! I hope it's as good as the first!

I also want to see The Lady in the Water..

Superman Returns looks interesting. I'm sure Kevin Spacey will be a brilliant evil dude. Pirates of the Carribean look even more interesting.

But for this week i can't wait to see "Cars" the new Pixar movie. :)

I forgot to mention that I'm kind of looking forward to Lady in the Water, too. I like M. Night Shyamalan movies.

PRAIRIE HOME COMPANION HAS BEEN A RADIO SHOW HOSTED BY GARRISON KEILOR FOR YEARS. I THINK ROBERT ALTMAN IS DOING A KIND OF FICTIONALIZATION OF PUTTING THE PROGRAM TOGETHER AS BEST AS I CAN TELL FROM PREVIEWS.

All I know about the movie is that it has Lindsey Hohan in it so I won't be seeing it :lol:

If you know anything about Robert Altman films, you know he likes to have a large ensemble cast and explore a field by watching what happens when all their little stories and interactions take place. Lindsey Lohan is just one of many actors on this show. When Meryl Streep, Kevin Kline, Tommy Lee Jones, John C. Reilly, Woody Harrelson, Lily Tomlin, even Maya Rudolph (of SNL) are in an Altman film, it's going to be a film worth watching.

300? Can someone explain this one to me?

It's a movie based on Frank Miller's graphic novel. It is set in 480 B.C. during the Battle of Thermopylae, where the King of Sparta led his army (300 soldiers)against the advancing Persians (a lot more than 300... :D ). It's a suicide mission for them, which allowed greece time to set up an army. I inspired all of Greece to unite against their Persian enemy.

I think they do. I think it's probably the months in which most people go see movies.

Pirates of the Caribbean!!!!!!!! I seriously CANNOT wait for this movie. I even bought an Orlando Bloom and Johnny Depp pirates shirt to wear when I go see it the second it comes out! I loveeeeeeeee Orlando Bloom. I've been waiting to see this movie the second I walked out of the theater in the summer of 2003 after seeing the first one. :D :D :D

I'm pretty sure I was considering getting the same shirt!! LOL There was only one I saw with both of them on it, anyways... LOL (And I actually already have a Will Turner one from the last movie)

I just saw Superman Returns and loved it. I didn't think I could ever accept a new Superman because I love Chris Reeve so much, but I was impressed. I won't spoil it by telling any details, but they do a great job of continuing the story and paying respect to the past. Brandon Routh is a babe!
