Title: Outofmymind's 3d Animation Corner
Description: The art of creating the illusion of life

I decided to start this thread about the art for which i've dedicated the last 10 years of my life.

Let me start by showing you bits and pieces of animations that i find interesting. I wish i could show you my work as well, but its under Non Disclosure Agreement at this time.

First piece i'd like to show you, is the animation that inspired me to come to US and look for a job in the film industry. Specifically the branch that has to do with Computer Animated films.

The guy that created this little film, found work because of it, at Pixar, the pioneer studio behind Toy Story, Monsters INC, Finding Nemo, and The Incredibles. There is a lot of pain sweat and blood (basically a lot of dedication) that is required from a young animator to make it to this industry. Thats actualy why i relate so much to Elliott's struggle to make it as a singer. And seeing that a guy can make his dream come true by doing a 42 second animaation, convinced me that everything is possible if i want to.

This guy's name is Victor Navone, and he is known as a big celebrity in the world of 3D animation (quite unknown though in the rest of the world)

His film is called "Alien Song" Enjoy!

Wow, he did that on his own? That was amazing. The motions were so fluid!

Omigosh...I've seen this! It was quite popular (via email) around the office quite a few years back, lol. And now this guy's at Pixar and and considered an animation guru? What a great story!

Wish we could see some of your work. I wish you the best in chasing your dreams. As you know, they can come true!

Didn't realize you weren't from America. Where are you from and how long have you been in the USA?

Yes he did. You can read all about it in his FAQ section in his homepage.

Rofl... that was cute.

I like that one clip.. of the hippo and the dog singing The Lion Sleeps Tonight.

Also like this other one with a purple hippo, it's dancing to the thong song heh.

I'd find im if I wasn't so tired.
