I noticed that there was the 'rant and rave' thread that talks about the little things that anger you, so I thought why not start one about the little things about life that make it easier and that you enjoy!

here are some of mine

- hitting every green light when heading to school/work
- listening to rain fall on the rooftop
- holding a newborn baby
-the smell of freshly cut grass
-watching the sunset/sunrise
- watching someone close to you accomplish their goals
-making people laugh
-helping people less fortunate than I
-watching someone like Elliott capture the hearts of so many people

and that is just the beginning! :)

-waking up in the morning and seeing my autographed Elliott photo staring back at me.

-my evening 2.5 walk, where it's just me and my MP3 player, enjoying nature.

-laughing my ass off at Whose Line is it Anyway

-After getting a hair cut, and running your hands t hrough your hair to feel how soft and clean it feels. Especially when your hair is in really poor condition. (Mine always is.)

-Sleeping in until noon when you are woken up by your dog who has jumped into bed and layed down beside you.

-When young kids (toddlers mostly) give you there cheesiest little smiles when they've done something bad.

-Laying in my bed with popcorn, candles and/or incense lighted, windows open, and something soulful playing in the stereo.

-Fresh tasting water.

-Cuddling.

For me, things I love in life:
• Feeling the sunshine on my shoulders
• Diving into cool water on a hot summer day
• Smelling that beautiful scent of freshly fallen rain that brightens all it touches
• Hanging out at the ocean - the feel of the sand on my bare feet, the rhythm of the waves as they roll in, that dance between surfer and wave
• Sunrises - holy
• Sunsets - awesome
• Rainbows
• Heartfelt hugs
• Pure unadulterated laughter
• The complete contentment of a cat purring in your lap
• The magical silence and beauty of snow falling
• Watching the deer outside my window
• Walking in nature and communing with it all
• Experiencing those that take risks to show their beautiful soul in this day and age of image as triumphant

Making people laugh
Watching a sunset with a colorfull sky.
Watching snowflakes fall from the sky.
Waking up in the morning surprised to see everything in white.
Driving in the countryside
Chocolate
Ice cream
My living room filled with friends.
Making a perfect golf swing.
Holding a newborn baby (imagine what would happen if it was mine!)
When my friends 2year old throws her hands in the air for me to pick her up.
Giving that extra money to people who don't have any at all.
Listening to my iPod for hours when i drive.
Strange women on the internet trying to convince me i'm not ugly.
Watching Pixar movies.
Imagining a new story nobody has heared of.
Writing my heart's content on a paper.
Friday afternoons.
A cool breese in a summer afternoon.
Hearing the crickets out my window in the night.
Browsing these forums.
Watching Elliott grow as an artist and as a person.
Helping people realise who Elliott realy is.
Moving people with what i write.
Finding a new inspiration in the most obscure places and moments.


Hmm, reading this list now, makes me think, life is not that bad after all. :)

That feeling I get when I just completed a picture.
How happy my dogs get after they get a bath and go rolling around outside to get all dirty again heh.
The first day it's cold after a long hot summer/fall (well hot in the fall here at least heh)
When I see the first sprout of the seeds I planted outside.
The feeling of an ice cold beverage going down your system during a hot day.
Seeing the random humming bird zip by the window.
Watching my fat cat stare out the window at the squirrels.
The fresh feeling you have right after you step out of the shower.
Watching people open presents that you know they're gonna love on Xmas.
My bf... yay! heh

& finally... one of my most favorite things in life...

WHEN MY FRIEND AND I VOLUNTEER AT OUR CHURCH'S HOMELESS SHELTER. IT'S WONDERFUL TO KNOW YOU CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE IN SOMEONE'S LIFE WHETHER IT'S COOKING A MEAL FOR THEM, DOING THEIR LAUNDRY OR JUST TALKING TO THEM. THESE MEN ARE SO GRATEFUL FOR EVERYTHING. IT WARMS MY HEART.

~ Clean sheets on my bed.
~ How happy my dog is to see me every time I come home, no matter how long I've been gone.
~ Getting e-mail from loved ones.
~ Looking at the photos that line the hutch on my desk at work.
~ Thinking about my rapidly approaching vacation.
~ Late night phone calls from my best friend.
~ The smell of rain.
~ Accidentally overhearing someone say something nice about me.
~ Laughing until I cry.
~ Sun tea with fresh lemon.
~ Daisies.
~ Talking to my grandpa.
~ Seeing the look on my nephew's face when I first walk in the house after not seeing him for a while (we live in different states).
