Title: Need Some Help From You Guys
Description: Picking out a graduation song

LOL I'm not graduating till next year, but my class president (I'm secretary) is crazy and wants us to pick out a song for when we walk out of the ceremony (pinning ceremony for nursing students...not the big graduation for the whole college) now. We're looking for a song with the theme of independence. Preferably a slow song. Thanks. :)

Well, the "independence" theme is only implied in the following. But here are 2 for starters which I put online:

If I Could - a 9 on the sappiness scale, but I used this as track for a movie for my son's 4th grade class. His teacher's first job off college; her Mom also a 4th grade teacher far away - I put a still of both Mom and daughter at the end and she bawled. LOL.

This Is It - not as slow, but nice acoustic version.

the graduation song at my high school graduation was We'll Never Say Goodbye (from the Sing soundtrack, sung by Art Garfunkel)
