Anyone else like sci fi? I love shows with some imagination. Really looking forward to the return of 4400 this Sunday! That show is almost as good as Firefly was. I also watch "Battlestar", "Stargate(s)"; and "Smallville."

I enjoy 4400 and I don't knwo fi this is considered sci-fi but I very much like the Dead Zone.

YES! The 4400!!!! Less than 3 hours away!!!!!
I also got the Firefly DVD for my birthday. I didn't catch the shows when they aired on FOX. I'm enjoying them so far. :D
I couldn't really get into Battlestar Galactica, but I do watch Stargate: Atlantis... SG-1 I wanna watch from the beginning (HA! that's... 9/10 seasons to get on DVD?)
Outofmymind - June 14, 2006 05:50 PM (GMT)
I used to watch Star Trek, Galactica (80s), Star Trek TNG, Enterprise, Babylon 5, DS9 (didn't like it that much), Stargate SG1, the new Galactica, Stargate Atlantis, and Smallville at some point but i've lost track on this one lately.
What i realy hope is that the universes of the two Stargates have more interaction between them in the future (i think thats in the plans already) and that Richard Dean Anderson comes back to the series. He is a great addition to the show.

Anyone a Doctor Who fan?
I grew up watching the series, and I really enjoyed the new season that the SciFi Channel just finished airing. I can't wait to see the next series with David Tennant as the tenth Doctor! I am already a fan of David Tennant because of his other work.

Ooh same here!
I loved the series when I was younger. I didn't see too much of this past season, but what I did see I loved. (And I'll watch all of it when it comes on DVD). And I too am looking forward to David Tennant as the Doctor. It will be weird, because I think of him as Barty Crouch Jr.
I've also watched a few Stargate episodes, and a few of them I've liked. I like it when it's more humorous than serious, like one with someone named Urgo, and another in which two of them keep repeating the same day. I think those two are really funny.
I LOVED Firefly. That was such a great show. It's sad that it got canceled without even airing the whole first season. But I guess the movie was a good way to make up for it.
Any other Firefly fans?

I love it all...even the bad stuff...I have a vivid imagination with a strong engineering streak so adore Sci Fi and anything else unsusual. Here are a list of the series I have watched and still do watch...am glad to talk about any and all of them with anyone. Not in any order of preference:
Firefly
Babylon 5
Crusade
Star Trek
Star Trek Next Generation
Voyager
Deep Space Nine
Enterprise
Stargate
Stargate Atlantis
Battlestar Galactica
Farscape
X Files
4400 Hundred
American Gothic
Brimstone
Buffy
Angel
Smallville
Haven't watched Dr. Who but would on reruns maybe.
Now as to movies...

4400 -- This last two hour deal on Sunday was really good. I guess we are in for some more interesting convolutions. I really enjoy all the characters on that show.

Sci-Fi is a very cool network. I enjoy the fact they create new series as well as show the old classics.

Another Whovian here! Oh my God...Eccleston as the 9th Doctor just ROCKS! I haven't seen any of David Tennants episodes yet, but I am thinking...."Oh, he's cuuuuute".
I also watch Stargate SG-1 and Battlestar (if it ever gets back on...)

Is anyone watching 4400 other than me?
wee_moggie - July 8, 2006 07:31 AM (GMT)
Hey Bronwen, I thought I'd check this thread...I'm posting like a fiend tonight...
I don't know anything about 4400. Is it still showing? Perhaps I'll check the SciFi Channel.
I do know that they are showing the repeats of the most recent Doctor Who. I think you might like it!
I'm glad to see a few other Whovians out there!
Karen :)

I've never seen Firefly but I just saw Serenity... and I have to say I REALLY enjoyed it... can someone explain how it does (or does not) tie into the tv show... like is it just background on who/what River is? I found myself wanting to know so much more!!
Also does anyone know when Firefly airs on Sci Fi? Would love to start watching...!

4400 is on Sunday evenings on the USA channel. It is one of those shows that you almost need to have watched from the beginning because it has an ongoing story line. We love this show!!

The movie "Serenity" takes place after all the events of the TV show. I believe you can get Firefly episodes at the vido story under Sci Fi. Once you watch the show you are going to wonder why it was canceled...it is one of the best that ever was on TV, IMHO. I'm still whiney about it.
BTW: The movie is exactly like the TV show, which is why fans, like me, love it so much, and yet, even if you did not watch the TV show, you can enjoy the movie. It is all about the characters.

I am!!
Luckily I am TIVOing it, so I can go back and rewatch some episodes.
There is NO WAY to come in on the middle of this one.
I missed one episode, so the only thing I haven't figured out is what happened to the agent's son. I understand his nephew is one of the 4400, but I haven't been able to figure what happened to his son.
So far, the part where they tried to wipe out the memory of Maya, and the fact that they "found" her in one of those trances, was my favorite part.

Tom's son is in jail still awaiting his trial after he turned himself in.
This show is really really good. Wait till you see this last week's show! Wow!--things are heating up.
I just wish people could have been turned on to this show sooner. It aired the past two years in the summer with only 13 episodes each. I am just hoping they get the audience this year to be renewed again.

Blade is a new series on Spike TV. If you loved the movies, you will like this show. The two hour opening movie wasn't half bad and there are some different characters that add to the mix.
But, then, I will watch nearly anything that is even in small part imaginative (or about vampires!)

Meta,
Based on your last comment about v's....you should read "The Historian."
It is something you'll really tear your teeth into. But, the first 100 pages are plodding. Just hang tough. It gets really good after that.

:hello: SK888 - Is this the book that that one movie on USA or some such channel was on about a year ago? Or, was that called "The Librarian." I will check out your recommendation.
Say, do you check out our Sci Fi/Fantasy thread...we have some good stuff over there.
