This week was a sad one for me and many people on the Idol staff...you can't help it, you grow close to some of these guys, and Elliott happened to be one of them. He was a very genuine guy who came so far in this competition, both professionally and personally. He was very genuine with all his fans, thanking them for even noticing him!
I've been getting so many calls, doing so many interviews and a lot are about Elliott's "transformation." I didn't really think about it until last night when I saw his goodbye package...now I get it, he really has transformed into a pop star! Elliott, I just wanna thank you for letting me do my thing, and trusting me not to make you look like a fool up there. Randy even gave me props backstage last night!
Anyway, onto Elliott's clothing... once again we headed down to Santa Monica this week, but instead of heading straight to Zara, I wanted to have a look at a few other places. We ended up in Armani Exchange, where we got the white pinstripe jacket and black shirt combo, and the blue crinkle shirt, both of which we put with jeans, keeping his vibe. As they were singing 3 songs this week, I wanted Elliott to have 3 looks that were different, but keeping his image...we didn't shop for specific song outfits, just built on his image. We didn't even decide what outfit to put with what song until rehearsals on Tuesday! I obviously wanted to do a suit on him again. Once more...Zara came to the rescue...that place really is a goldmine...where else can you find a suit that looks so good for $250!!?

great post... you'd have to think with all these industry insiders truly respecting Elliott as a person and an artist that he is just getting started on a magnificent career-- i think practically everyone who has been asked about E has said that he will be around for a long time- regardless of who their personal favorites are.

You can really tell how the AI staff loved Elliott.. I mean just compare his send-off to Chris' or to the other contestants. I must say the stylists deserve a big Kudos for the great job they've done for Elliott.

Thank you so much I found it at the Oh No They Didn't blog site. There are some hardcore E fans there and I just couldn't resist! They have so many others too.

Now THAT is what got me.
Not crying, but if I had read that yesterday or the day before, I know I would've been bawling my eyes out.
He's amazing... AMAZING! :glomp:
