I was wondering if it could not stick out so far? It was flush with the left margin originally I do believe and I loved it! But now it is sticking out too far and obstructing my few of people's avatars, and the little envelops beside each thread. I am finding it really annoying at the moment, but I do love it! :)

Well it originally was FLUSH with the right margin, and only the words "hot topics" were showing. Now, the pop out is half visible and overlapping some of the stuff on the left hand of the screen!!!! This is BEFORE I touch it with my mouse - when I do that it pops out further and I can read the list of topics. I hope this makes sense!

I also cannot read the external links. When I try to scroll down on it, it just keeps moving down the screen.

I am going to pass along your comments to the person who set up the Hot Topics. Thanks for posting this!

I sent you a PM, but I thought I should also post what Mike Cornelio said about the Hot Topic (he set it up) here:

stopped the HOT TOPICS from moving around (up and down). Regarding Cathleensusan's comments, this normally indicates one of two things. A non-compliant javascript engine in her browser or a damaged one.

If she can't see the external links, have her try scrolling her screen down.

Let me know if this helps/doesn't help/whatever! (I have had some issues with it myself, but I admire the brilliance of Mr. Cornelio for creating it.)

I'm bringing this topic back up because it's become an issue for me. Is there a way that the Hot Topics panel can be moved to the right side of the screen? Every time I move my mouse down to navigate the website, the Hot Topic panel pops out. On the other hand, that might not be a great place for it either, but I honestly don't like where it is right now. Thanks!

janizzle, it would be a lot mor difficult for you to naivgate the site if we put it on the right side of the screen since that's where your scroll bars are. the Hot topics window should not "pop out" for as long as you don't move your mouse over it and should pop back in once you move your mouse away from it.

but we're still trying to perfect this site on a daily basis so we appreciate you coming to us with these comments. :)

You know what? I just realized that the problem occurs because I keep my favorites tab on whenever I'm on a wepage. If I close that out, I have no problems with the Hot Topics. Silly me.
