I didn't think the cartoon was insulting.

I think it's sort of sweet

dulce - May 20, 2006 01:01 AM (GMT)
That wasn't insulting at all. It was cute. ET looked sad, huh?

And since when did David Spade and his opinion carry any weight. Last time I checked he was giving out DVD's of Joe Dirt for free.

Thanks for the link....I really loved the cartoon, and thought that it was indeed a sad ET....missing Elliott.

I was expecting something really horrible! It's actually cute. It seems like ET is just depressed as we are that Elliott was going home :(.

blessed - May 20, 2006 07:15 AM (GMT)
awww. even ET is sad about Elliott going home. :(

skye_tonga - May 20, 2006 07:58 AM (GMT)
awwwww......okay tear....that was exactly what my niece kept saying although it was sadder and along the lines of "elliott no go":(

MammaMia2mks - May 20, 2006 01:22 PM (GMT)
I thought it was sweet, too.

hazpafis - May 20, 2006 04:38 PM (GMT)
awww. that was cute. and that did bring a few tears.

i still can't believe E's gone. :(

Janizzle - May 20, 2006 05:04 PM (GMT)
Aw, how sweet!

cincygal - May 20, 2006 06:29 PM (GMT)
ET was sad. No slam there. It was touching.

David Spade ~ who cares what this dope says. He needs to back and peddle his .... oh what the heck is that stupid commericial he's on? It's been on TV in various forms 1000 times, yet he makes SUCH an impression on me, I can't even recall what it's for. I heard he bashed El's looks. Um, David, hon, somebody has obviously beaten you with an ugly stick, so I certainly wouldn't rag on anyone else. Besides, Elliott has 100s of women in love w/ him. Mr. Spade is probably still a virgin. lol

What day was that?

Friday, May 19th.

I realize that for many of you, here, ET (the alien) is not recognizable (I'm old). But, this is truly a complimentary cartoon.

Richmond, VA, would have nothing negative on Elliott.

crazibug - May 20, 2006 09:19 PM (GMT)
Awwwww!!!

Thanks for sharing that!!!

chunwing91 - May 21, 2006 01:23 AM (GMT)
What did David Spade and Jimmy Kimmel say?

bellesmama - May 21, 2006 01:47 AM (GMT)
Very sweet.

Trip56 - May 21, 2006 08:42 PM (GMT)
I love this cartoon! ET looks so sad. Just like I feel.

DawnlikesElliott - May 22, 2006 12:09 AM (GMT)
I thought that was very touching. A very cute way to put how we all felt.

skatingontheroof - May 22, 2006 12:29 AM (GMT)
I saw david spade on either letterman or leno and he was so sloppy. his hair is all over the place, he looked out of shape, and can't even sit right in a chair!

i don't even want to know what he said about elliott. the guy is a negative nothing whose career is on the way out.

Phyllisidol - May 22, 2006 02:45 AM (GMT)
:) I thought the cartoon was kind of cute. I don't think they meant anything disparaging against Elliott. This cartoon was in Elliott's hometown newspaper. Richmond loves Elliott. They're not trying to harm him. I think it was cute. ET was kinda sad Elliott was going home!

xtn4e - May 22, 2006 05:03 AM (GMT)
Well if you take it in context, the name of the kid in ET was 'Elliott'. I didn't think this was insulting at all. ET was not supposed to be represent Elliott here, ET was supposed to be Elliott's friend rooting for him even from another planet.
