I think Travis is very good and is also a favorite of the judges. Thoughts?

I dunno if he's gonna win.
He is coing across kinda like Blake from last year. Has that cockiness to him that's not attractive to alot of people.

He's good, but in the end, I think he will come up a little short.

Personally, I like Benji so far.

I voted No. I think he's an amazing dancer but I just haven't seen enough of him to convince me that he's going to win. I'm already getting hooked on this show. Crazy. :rolleyes: :D

You got to think also what they are looking for. They are looking for lyrical/contemporary. I mean the grand prize is a spot in Celine Dion's show.

I think he's got a great chance, and I think Allison has a great chance.

I had to vote no because there was no option for "good chance" or "don't know yet"....LOL

He just may with his style. He needs some making over that will come later in the show as he moves up. With that and some sophistication in his demeanor, he just might (presuming he dances well, too, of course).

He's from Virginia, so it's hard for me not to wish he does well. (So, what's with all these great talents from Virginia all of a sudden?)

But, the haircut! Bleayuk! He's such a handsome guy. Yeah, I know, it's a different world in dance. He still needs cred, though, and the haircut will have to go in Celine's world, for sure.

If I am casting for Celine's show, I would go with Allison. She is my front runner for the top spot at this point. My reasoning has to do with several factors:

1. She has the contemporary dance "look" of others in that show.
2. She has the athleticism that the choreography requires.
3. She has technique and training.
4. She can be soloist, and yet fits well in the line.
5. She has the musicality and instinctive timing naturally gifted dancers have.
6. She is already at a professional level.

I do like others. Travis has the basic tools. Martha has the legs and the drive. Benji has the aggression and experience. Musa has the X factor. Natalie has playfulness and personality. Donyelle is unique and compelling. Heidi is a dark horse with her long limbs, body control, and adaptibility.

Some of these, and others, are great dancers but just could not fit into Celine's show. IMO.

Moving this up to where everyone can see it and comment after tonight's show. Easier to use a thread already here than to start a new one every week. Confuses me!

Where are the Travis fans? Even if you're not a Travis fan, you can vote in the poll. I think Travis showed his stuff tonight in an unfamiliar style. He just may be the TCO if he keeps this up.

I don't think the judges will let Musa win, but I definitely want him to.

Why don't you think they'd let him win? He's really good as well but the best combo is Benji and Donyelle (I hope I spelled that right). Those two together can't miss.

I believe Travis the best male as far as form and technique goes.

He deserves to win this.

so far... Travis has the edge over Benji... the crump routine just edged out for the top spot for me...

too many of the girls are around the same... non stand out for me for the top spot...

Travis is lacking a certain something...sure he does the moves but he just does not light up the stage. If we go with the "light up the stage" idea when I think both Benji and Musa ace Travis out.

And, I have to disagree about the women. I think Allison is a perfect fit for the Celine Dion gig if you have ever looked at those dancers. Her solo is a stand out and she is able to adapt fairly well to other kinds of choreography.

I also think Natalie is coming along. Heidi lights up the stage whenever she performs but she has to prove that she has some breadth to her abilities.

I seriously do not think Musa has a chance in the world to win. They are looking for contemopary/lyrical. Musa showed he could do contemp, at a very very average level.

They want trained contemporary/lyrical dancers. That's why I'd assume it would either be Travis or Allison.

I love Benji and with his fanbase can see him lasting up until the very end. He won't win unless he can prove that he can do lyrical/contemporary at a way above average level.

Agree with you Berkana regarding Benji...however, he is a heck of a competitor so until we see Benji and Donyelle dance in HER style we just won't know.

As for Allison, she stands out, particularly in her solos. I still do not think Travis has the appeal he needs to be a soloist although he fits is perfectly well as a company dancer.

I also agree about Musa, this guy is so great at what he does, all this show can do for him is allow him to get some first rate audition time and inspire him to take more diverse classes.

I love Musa, but I really doubt he will win. I think it will be Benji, which is good because he is my favorite! I guess they could go with a girl this year since last year a boy won (I forgot his name!)

he's good but seems to be getting too cocky... may have the same downfall as chris-- personally I prefer benji of the guys- didn't realize he really was the west coast swing king until i googled him- wow.

I think Benji has a good chance at winning. Travis is cute but Benji is just as good as him and his personality seems more likeable.

However...isn't it going to come down to a boy and a girl they way the eliminations are going? That's a bit unfair.

I betcha when they get down to the Top 4 it will be up to the voters... Remember the Top 3 last year was 1 boy and 2 girls.

After seeing Travis cry because his mother got to see him dance...I loved it.

OP, maybe make a new thread for discussion only of Travis? Having a poll limited to one vote per person limits things. Attitudes may change as each week passes. I know that I think Travis has a good chance.

Travis is my favorite, but I voted no, because I think Benji will win. My favorite person never wins. I'm pretty used to it by now. :P

If Benji doesn't win i'll be shocked... only because of his fan base... and the audience (last week) chanting his name over and over...

either one winnng will be fine with me.
