Yeah like "Revolution" by The Beatles being used by a shoe commercial. It pains me. Or "Ring of Fire" for a fast food chain.

It's sad to say, but alot of great songs get played out for commercialization purposes...the sellers know people will identify with the song and maybe make a purchase because of it. Money makes the world go round, as they say...

On the upside, these songs get introduced to a whole new generation. I can't tell you how many songs I heard for the first time on commercials.

Yeah, I just saw the Ring of Fire commercial a few weeks ago, and was disappointed, especially knowing why and when it was written. I always thought Johnny wrote it about her, but June wrote it about him. I didn't realize that until I saw the movie.
