But I also heard that Daniel Powter is going to perform "Bad Day" live too. (I think this had been confirmed)
So maybe D.P. is the special guest? Not sure!

Elliott said in his exit interview that there were going to be some special "starS" (plural). So, Powter is not necessarily excluding Wonder.

I've said from the beginning that E is the next Stevie Wonder. I hear it in every note that he sings. Wonder was very impressed with Elliott and Wonder was THE most impressive star coach on the show this season.

There would be no door unopened to E if he sings with Wonder, and even if he doesn't, I suspect that Wonder might open some doors, personally, for Elliott.

1) I'm SO sick of bad day, especially now that every time i hear it it makes me think of elliott getting sent home

2) if you remember from last year (if you watched) the finale they had everyone come back and each person basically sang with a different artist, sometimes 1 person to 1 artist, sometimes 2 idols/per singer. bo bice got to sing with one of his idols if i remember correctly, so hopefully this will happen. HOW AMAZING WOULD THAT BE IF E SANG WITH STEVIE WONDER?! ahh imagine how completely moved he will be.<3 ^_^ :)

Come to think of it, didn't El mention how great being "one on one" with Stevie without the cameras "was" on his exit interview and then say "would be"? I wondered about that at the time I saw it...

Me too. I never want to hear Bad Day again. Too many bad memories. I'd give anything for a Stevie/Elliott duet. Hoping, hoping.....

Let's face it everyone, do you think A.I. is going to give Elliott any speical treatment? They have done nada for him.

To a small extent, I disagree that AI hasn't given him anything special - While I am furious that they sabatoged his opportunity to win - think back to Wednesday. To be sure that show was All about Elliott. They saved the biggest and best homecoming for last - he sang that incredible MMFL and then, his BAD DAY montage was possibly longer than the others AND he got to sing the entire IBIMS. After the show -every one was talking about who Elliot was a lot more than Taylor and Kat. Not that it makes up for screwing him up front, but they made sure he shined at the end.

I agree what you said; however, it's kinda too little too late!
While every finalist's audition video and back story was shown at the beginning of the season, where was E's?
AI finally "promoted" E when he is getting voted off the show?!
I know, at least they showed some respects. But to me, it's just not enough to "balance" out all the mistreatments they've done to E throughout the season!

I'm just hoping that his family's website would only have a hint that it might happen (Elliott singing with Stevie in the finale) if there was some basis in fact. If I'd read it anywhere else, I'd probably discount it. But I'm very hopeful after reading about this possibility on yamin machine that it could, actually, come true. I would be soooo thrilled for Elliott if this does actually occur.

I REALLY hope that E gets to sing with Stevie Wonder! Just a little worried that the producers won't let him in fear of E upstaging their two 2! But all the votes would have been in by then, so it wouldn't matter. *fingers and toes crossed*

We heard this song in the car today and my 7 year old started crying. I had the volume turned down so I couldn't really hear it. When I asked her what she was crying about all I could understand were the words "Elliott" "American Idol" "Song" "radio". I finally figured it out.

American Idol has scared my daughter for life. LOL

I really hope Stevie comes forward and offers him some help with a recording contract . Stevie or Quincy - people who appreciate real talent, real soul.

They did give him a nice send off in all fairness. ANd they didn't make a big big deal about the final 2 at that moment.

I am hoping the final show will be about all the contestants. If E sings with Stevie, it will be a dream come true for me. Could it be possible???????????

That's what we have to remember. E is not about pop music - otherwise he would have changed the songs he sang on Tuesday. Stevie et. al. are those who will hopefully help him.

He's about soul - R&B - he didn't want to sing the "marketable" recognizable songs... that were being offered to him to sing -- he didn't want to do it.

He might not have a superstar career that burns out quickly.. he may have a wonderfully successful career as an R/B soul singer - enduring.

too little, too late may not be a bad thing for E
I think the last pimping did a lot of good in exposing E to the casual viewer.
Th/Fri I kept getting calls from co-workers who were Tay/Chris fans who finally got a chance to appreciate E-- every little bit helps!

I wished I had tivo. I need a play-by-play so I don't have to watch unless E is on.

Last year I remember Vonzelle getting a special number to sing on the finale. She was number three. So perhaps Elliott will get a solo spot with another great singer.
Hopefully the band won't drown him out.

Vonzell sang with Billy Preston on the finale results show.

I believe it was up until the final 3 they were paired with an artist. Such as Scott Savol & Nikko Smith with George Benson, Mikkala(sp?) Gordon & Lindsey (?) with Baby Face...

Although, I don't recall Constantine with a guest artist.... wasn't it Constantine, Jessica & Nadia.

But top 3 for sure should have a solo with an artist. Especially if Chris is performing with Live.
