The following post was on MJ's blog today after a long and heated debate on finalists' albums and timing vs. the 2 winners albums, etc..

"Randy Jackson just said on his weekend countdown program that Taylor, Kat, Chris, Elliot, and Kellie were all going to have CD's out this year".

Does anyone regularly listen to Randy's show that can confirm this, or have a link to it?

The reason that this may be telling...is that 19E/Clive obviously don't have to adhere to a 3-month waiting period after the winners' albums. That clause is to stop those signed to other labels, from releasing within the same time frame.
If this is true, what I think may happen...is that Taylor will release his album in October (he has even gone from saying end-of-year to fall)...and anyone else signed w/Clive in the Nov. /Dec. timeframe (Kat late Oct. potentially).

I think they have come to realize that whatever they put-out from 19E/Clive has to be before the end of the year and before the next season of AI starts, in order to make any quick money. I also think that each is making such a different album...that AI, the franchise, benefits from releasing multiple albums in a short time frame.

Elliott also said on the GB show that any possible signing by 19E/Clive in regards to him...has yet to be decided. Again if what Randy allegedly said is true, it would almost dictate that they will sign Elliott.

Randy actually said "I hear" that Elliott is making an album. That doesn't sound too definite to me. Sounds more like he was repeating a rumor. In any case, I don't care who he signs with, I WANT MY EY ALBUM!!!

Thanks for listening and reporting back. The good news is that Randy hears that he's making an album and is repeating it on radio.

It also sounds like he didn't say "by the end of the year" as the MJ poster posted, which means we're back to it most likely being outside of 19E/Clive.

The significance for me in wording would have been if he'd said "this year", which would have made it almost impossible to not have been with 19E/Clive.
But I love early next year and with a different label as the best scenario...here's hoping!!

Please Dear God, don't let it be with Clive...I'm happy to wait so that Elliott can have artistic freedom for his album.

Could just be Randy talking about how great their careers are going to be and not actual fact whatsoever..

Ya know, I would LOVE an Elliott cd as soon as possible. :drool: BUT, I don't want a "rushed" one....I want a good one that's gonna start him out to a great career! So, if I have to wait...and it's better for Elliott, I don't mind one bit! :cheerleader:

I agree with you BigE. I want a CD that 75% of the songs appeal to everyone. I want an out of the park album. Not thrown together. I even want the sequencing of the songs to work together. I listened to the finale on the Burt Bacharack songs. The three best were back-to-back. Mandisa, Lisa, and Elliott. If you listen to just those 3 you'll get what I mean.

Yes he did say hear but he said that about Chris and the others also. I took it that he has knew something. Randy also said when he was replying to the person that wrote in about Kat not to listen to rumors to come to him for the facts .. or something like that, So I took it that he knows something about Elliott . I guess we will find out.

Your right nothing about it being out by the end of the year.
Like you and others have said, E needs to just take his time not have something just thrown together.
