I'm trying to post a video on you tube but the file is 22 minutes long and I only want to post about 5 minutes of it from the middle.
I've never done this before. Is there anyone out there that can give me specific instructions on how to edit and post this video.
I would really appreciate it.

Don't know what you mean by extension.
I have "Windows Movie Maker" on my computer but I keep on getting an error when I try to import it. I think it's because of the file name but I don't know how to change it to .avi or whatever would be acceptable to the program. :blink: :angry: Very frustrating!

You're right on; it's likely not importing because it doesn't like the file type. Windows Movie Maker can import only WMV files or captured DV-AVI files. Other file types need to be converted. Here's a page that may show how:
