A user's signature are those texts/pictures/banners that you see after his post. To configure your signature, you need only follow the following steps:

1. As always, open your Control Panel by clickin on the My Controls link up top.
2. Under Personal Profile, click on Edit Signature

3.1. If you simply want a stylized text signature, key in the text you wish to appear as your signature and your desired formats (color, font, font size, etc).
3.2. If you want to have a picture as your signature, upload this picture from your computer to an online image hosting site (imageshack.us is a great site). Once uploaded, simply copy the url that is a direct link to the image you wish to use and paste it on the text box.

4. Click on Update My Signature and you're all set

*Important Reminder: If you opt to have pictures as signatures, please make sure that the image is well within the 300x100 pixel maximum allowable size. This is to ensure that the page will not slow down when loading because of your huge signatures. The Mods will ask you to change your signature if it exceeds the limit.

^ for those who want to know how big exactly is 300 x 100. :)

you can see how big your siggy is by right clicking your siggy and then click properties. you can then see the size of your siggy under dimensions. :)

Is this the actual size? Why do most signatures appear much larger than the little rectangular box indicated here? Or is that just to scale?

If you don't have a signature yet, go to "The Blender" under the Graphics & Arts section of this site and post your request there. We have so many talented artists here who can accommodate your request.

Once you have a siggy, upload it to any image hosting site (Photobucket, Ripway, Image Shack, etc.). Then go to your control panel (My Controls), under Personal Profile click "Edit Signature", copy the URL of your uploaded image from your image hosting site, then click on the "IMG" button and paste the URL of your image.

:bunny: Thanks for the welcome! I don't have a computer, i have an msn box, so I can't do the whole paste thing and all that. I just wanted to write a cute saying, that would be under my posts. Maybe I will go back and see if it's working yet. Oh, maybe you can't write anything... can you?

Yeah, you can write something as your signature. Under your profile, go to edit signature, and type in what you want it to say. Then click on update my signature (or something like that). and Voila! lol.

I can't add a photo to my profile because this is the message I get

What can I do? I come to this web site every day because I am a big Elliott. I want fix up my signature and post a litte. Tell me how to get permission to do that....Please???

The error message you're seeing is from the "Personal Photo" menu which is disabled for all members.

Go to "My Controls" and then click on "Edit Signature" in the left column. This is where you can put text or an image for others to see when you post. If you need any more help let me know.
