I know....another So You Think You Can Dance thread. I'm always a little late on this stuff. I noticed that there was a thread for Benji and who ever started it was saying they thought Benji was kind of like Elliott.

While I agree with the stuff about Benji, I happen to think Ivan also has many Elliott like qualities. He went in as one of the underdogs. The judges thought he was only able to do hip hop. The past couple of weeks he has been proving them wrong.

He seems like a very sweet, likeable guy. In the footage where one of the hip hop girls was eliminated he made a point to go over to her and say good bye. He also seems to get along with his partner really well.

I definitely see what you mean. I don't like Ivan that much, but he's alright I guess. I just don't think he has the versatily to win this. I like hip-hop and he's good (not the greatest though, that belongs to "Moose") at it so I'll give him thumbs up for that.

He is one of the underdogs. I think Ashlee, Musa, and him are just because they are poppers/hip-hop dancers. Out of those I think the major underdog is Ivan because the judges aren't so crazy over him like they are with Musa. He does have an awesome partner though. And America and the judges love Musa so even though he's not the greatest at other styles, he will probably still go far.

I love Ivan! he's my second favorite along w/ Musa & benji

I like Ivan... but unless he steps it up very quickly.. he'll be gone.

That's what I think. Though I like him more than some of the guys left, I really think that if he's in the bottom 3 this week, he'll be leaving.

Ivan was really getting on my nerves, but I've started to like him more the past 2 weeks. I don't see him lasting much longer though. He's got work to do. He an Allison are cute together!

I agree.... although I think that he's spunky and fun to watch... He doesn't have the talent or isn't giving it all he has to win this thing. He seems very self conscious about something.. I can't put my finger on it.

I think he only has one or two weeks left in him. Which is fine. It would be nice if he won so he could get the money...but that's about it. I mean can you really see him performing in the Celion Dion thing? I don't think he would be happy with that.

I think him and his partner are really cute together and I would like to seem them one or two weeks longer. But serisouly....he is really good at his style of dancing. He doesn't quite have the moves Musa has...but he can dance.

Maybe the fact that he is 18 and looks 14 explains it somewhat. He just does not YET have any sex appeal. :D

I like Ivan a lot more than I did a few weeks ago. He's still not my favorite, but I really enjoy watching him dance. :thumbsup:

I think he is cute. Not sexy....I don't even like using that word. Although, I di thing all guys should own a plain black t-shirt. Ivan displayed the reason why, very well during the opening number of last episode.

I think they should all own a black shirt with those jeans. IYIYI!

Well, I've been defending Ivan's dance abilities from the get-go, knowing he had a powerful talent in him. Meta came the closest in identifying the missing element. Sex appeal is one aspect of it, agreed. But, I think it's just maturity, which includes sex appeal (sexiNESS in the proper dances). He is very young. Kind of like Paris trying to sing a love song with the right emotional connection. I have never doubted Ivan's ability to do any kind of dance. He just doesn't have the maturity to pull it off, and he won't get it in time to win this show. But, oh he will have such a tremendous growth experience to carry him on in his career.

I think Ivan's performance last week shows he can make the emotional connections. He made one of the judged cry which I think also adds to the Elliott similarness.

Ivan does have what it takes inside him to be a great dancer. He has the ability to connect with another dancer or other dancers. In terms of his current level of training, however, he is not prepared to compete with most of the others left in the competition. I have the same criticism of Martha regarding training, plus, in her case, she lacks an essential emotional connecter to other dancers.
