You know as I watched the show last night one thing that stood out to me was Elliott's love and gratitude toward his family. You don't get more grateful than he was last night. What a polar opposite Katherine was. She was almost dismissive of her family. I felt no warmth or gratitude coming from her at all. Yet, she will take her place in the finals.
Elliott deserved to be in those finals. What a humble man of character and class he has proven to be. He is a true hero in my eyes.

Elliott was just wonderful last night. I can't get over the inner strenth he has. He is incredible!
Some people, on the other hand, displayed DISGUSTING behavior, that would be the McPhlash family, who have earned the top spot on my sh%t list.
I just hope Elliott knows how much we love him. :(

Me, too. My eyes are swollen and just when I thought I was done, I was crying again on the way to work telling my mom about it (she missed the show). I am so overwhelmed by Elliott's strength and compassion of character. He is destined to be a huge success.
As for the other (McPhee), karma sucks. What goes around comes around & she'll find that out soon enough.

Glad to be hear with you guys. I think when America saw last nights show, they know they made a huge mistake. Elliott is everything an American Idol should be.

[SIZE=14]I agree with an earlier post that if America had seen the hometown videos on Tuesday, and the way Elliott is with his friends and family, yesterday's outcome would have been TOTALLY DIFFERENT!!!

You know, I was listening to my local radio station today and the one morning guy has been watching Idol since the beginning, the other guy not. So, this morning, Hal mentions about Elliott going home. The other guy, Dave, says that he went and watched some clips of the show yesterday after talking about the "I" word, and said this about Katharine ..... "She is a hot looking girl, but you can see that she is a spoiled, pampered little girl." He also said that when the judges "insulted" her she would look over at McMommy and have a "Mommy, they are being mean to me" look". He got this from a few CLIPS of her. I was amazed, since he is a guy and all, but he saw right through the facade! I sent him a nice e-mail telling him thanks for noticing it, and he wasn't the ONLY one to see it!

While all of us fell in love w/his voice...there's more to it than that.
We also fell in love w/his character....and the fact that he just couldn't be more real.
They often talk about the total package on AI....I guess total package depends on how you define it.

Fabulous voice, fabulous person. Total package for me.

The others can admire the "showy" voice and the superficial things... I'll take the first option every time.

LOL yes I think when this is all done ,Tay Tay will wish he were in E's shoes !! I have liked other artists before , of course > You hear their songs and become a fan. THEN you may find out a thing or two about who there are and what they sand for. With E it is the otherway around , which is what I keep thinking about. We heard him and liked him but got to find out who her REALLY was right for the begining. We aren't let down by things we later find out about him because we KNOW who he is and what he stands for. I think it is what makes him so dear to our hearts. He is such a good soul !! :)
