I totally thought it was Elliott for a few seconds. Does anyone else think Elliott soundes like Stevie? Maybe it's just me missing E too much.

Oh yeah definately. I think Stevie has been a HUGE influence on Elliott. I mean, look at Elliott's reaction to meeting him that day..he's publicly stated that he would lie in bed at night & imagine meeting him. His voice has the same raspy richness that Stevie's has...same with Donny H... it's easy to see why Elliott likes the artist's that he does..they usually have the same sound.

i know E is a big fan of Donny and Stevie. but i'm talking about his voice. i have a couple of donny's cds but i don't think E sounds like him. he really sounds like Stevie though.

Crape...I thought you heard Stevie say something ABOUT Elliott on the radio. Got my hopes up...

You know it's really weird. Stevie is one of my all time fav's. At work the other day one of his songs came on the radio, one that Elliott did, and I swear I think E out sings Stevie.

Yep, I see a lot of Stevie and Donny in Elliott's voice - those were probably the people who influenced his taste and style in music and his two biggest idols so that makes sense . Of course, I could love Stevie to death , but could NEVER in a million years SOUND like him - Elliott has such a gift !

Alright already...I'm gonna go find a a donny h. song & listen too it! I love Elliot's voice & never had any desire to hear the original artists versions of his idol performances. I'm going...I'm going....

Elliott has a better voice, IMO :)

You know what? I think Elliott outsings just about everybody!!

Of all the songs I have now heard Elliott do, whether I heard someone else's version first or second, I have almost always liked Elliott's version the best. I think "Somebody To Love" may be the only exception, because I think it needs the full lyric and the full song to be appreciated...and I love George Michael's live version with Queen so much. I still think if Elliott ever did the entire version of "Somebody To Love", though, I'd probably hate George Michael's version ever after...Elliott's voice is that wonderful to me!

That's very true! It's hard to get the full essense of a song without hearing it in it's entirety!
