I recommend for 13 or older. (whoops, let me edit that)

I meant anyone under 13 might not be able to handle it mentally.

It's can be devasting, but all the same, a story that needs to be read.

I met the author last May at a meeting. I can't tell you how loving this man is.
I think if I had endured what he did, I would have been very embittered.

But he seems grateful for surviving to tell his story.

Thank you. I have daughters, 25 and 15, that these will be perfect for. I'm ordering his story for myself - we will have the set to share.

Following the excesses of Xmas, the stories will bring home to us how very lucky we are. I know my daughters will find the stories compelling, and will spread the message.

The 13plus story would be a great addition to school curriculums, and a wonderful cause for schools to espouse. There's T's and tanks for a minimum order of 50. I can see the tank as a big hit with girls of all ages. 15 or I will bring it to the attention of her new HS.

Canadafan, thanks! I would recommend reading it first yourself before you give it to your 15 year old. The first chapter is very distrubing.

Be able to discuss it with your 15 yr old. She will look to you as a shoulder and mind to learn about this.

When I became a mom, I finally became more involved in learning and advocating for international situations.

You are a great example of good parenting.

Thanks for the heads-up about the opening chapter. I'll read it first to check out the nightmare factor. She won't notice if it's a slightly dog-eared Xmas gift!! :glomp:
