Title: The Tour reaction..
Kajo - May 21, 2006 05:48 AM (GMT)
I cannot go to any AI tour, but for those of you who are going, how do you think Chris and Elliott fans will respond to Kat?
Will you be courteous and clap (I hope), it shows what kind of fans Chris and Elliott have...
I hope there is no boo-ing like there was for Scott last year, that was cruel.
I know it will be hard and especially if they come out in order of elimination like last year and if Kat loses, that means there will be Chris, then Elliott, followed by Kat.
Do you think all the Chris and Elliott fans will have to make a trip to the rest room?
I hope that there is decency from Elliott's fans, I know there will be, as I am sure that anyone in an Elliott shirt booing anyone would upset Elliott ALOT!!!
If Kat wins and she tours (headlining) you can go do what you want then. It won't matter, there will only be 3 people there, Kat and her McParents!
I am getting too Katty....meow!

They all booed Scott? I didn't know about this. Why?
skye_tonga - May 21, 2006 07:31 AM (GMT)
i actuall enjoyed scott savols singing last year...but i did hear he was portrayed as an incredible jerk. that's pretty sad...i probably woudn't boo because i'd be too memorized seeing E live!
Kajo - May 21, 2006 08:40 AM (GMT)
I could not go to the tour last year, nor will I be able to this year but people give great reviews from the various cities on the message boards.
Scott was loved by the other contestants. Scott, Anwar, Bo and Nikko were especially close according to a Bo interview because of their Christianity.
For some reason Scott was not popular with alot of people after the incident came out with the phone throwing to his pregnant girlfriend that happened before the show and Scott had told the producers already. It portrayed Scott as a woman beater and I have to say so myself I was not thrilled with him either. Then I thought to myself, as a Christian too, who am I to judge?
Anyway, whenever people posted about the concert, there were lots of boos for Scott and so many nice people tried to get people to stop as the tour went on (they would plead on the boards) but it was seemed to be a real downer to Scott. The guys really helped him try to ignore it.
To me, it is so ignorant, no matter who the person is. It is insulting to the person whom you are a fan of, in this case Elliott. He would not want Kat boo-ed!

I didn't know about it either...I went to the Idols concert last year in San Jose and when he came out I knew I wanted to show him SOME kind of respect even though the whole season I didn't like him and was wishing he'd get voted off. I mean I liked his voice, BUT his personality just didn't seem very nice to me. Also, when he didn't work with his group in Hollywood and he got through, but not the other people who worked together real hard. I don't know I could go on and on lol, but I'm not because this isn't a Scott messageboard. ANYWAY... :P
When I went to the concert I don't believe any one booed Scott, but if they did it wasn't a lot of the crowd.
Well I've told my parents that when Kat comes out that's when I'm taking my bathroom breaks lol...the truth is I'm not going to, because first of all it is disrespectful for the fact that I wouldn't want people to do that to me and why should I step to her parents level (when they were all jumping up and down when it was a sad moment for Elliott, his family, friends, fans, and everyone in the room) . Also, I paid a lot of money for my ticket so I want to see all of the performances lol and maybe I'll actually miss out on an entertaining performance from her.
I hope no one walks out for ANYONE, because it's just stupid in my eyes and disrespectful and makes you look very immature. I might say I'm going to walk out, but I won't lol... :rotfl: (Also, I'm too lazy to get up and leave my seat so many times while I'm at a concert lol) :D

I'll be at the concert - I doubt I'll even notice Kat - my eyes and ears are there solely for Elliott :)
sweetiepie - May 21, 2006 01:39 PM (GMT)
I am going to the show in Cleveland, when Kat does her segment it will be a good time for me to take a potty break or go for a drink. I would never be rude and boo her.
Lookin4Trouble - May 21, 2006 03:11 PM (GMT)
I went to last years AI tour here in Minnesota. Yes, when Scott first came on he got booed. I felt bad for him. But after he got done singing his first song people were clapping. He actually got a very nice response from the crowd once he was done performing.
I just don't have it in me to do that to someone I guess. As much as I don't like her (Kat) I will stay for her performance. (I got my tix yesterday!! Lower level was already sold out by the time I got there to buy them  Oh well. I wanted to be close to E, but at least I am in the building.

OMG, did Scotty really get booed? Scotty is my Cleveland homeboy, even though he was not the best, he didn't deserve that. I thought Scott did great at the concert, him and Jessica sang together and they both sounded great. So sad, if you don't like the person, I say get up and take a break, but never boo. Sad. :(
Lookin4Trouble - May 21, 2006 05:03 PM (GMT)
One of the best performances of the night imo was Scott and Jessica. It was absolutely beautiful.
I was embarrassed for my hometown that there were those who did not show respect to him.
Last year I loved Bo. But no one has ever gotten under my skin the way Elliott has. I adore him.

Well, let's just say this is Philadelphia...............to not boo would not be Philly fans way but that's more for the sports events I think!.........unsure how the tour will be.....I will be there.....I will not boo anyone but I will stand and cheer for the rest of them. I liked most of the others with a couple of exceptions. I think Bucky will get a good reception! He grew on a lot of people! Even Kellie was liked if not considered annoying at times! She's cute in her own way and has the southern charm. I think a lot of the comments she made were scripted.........they knew how to play off her.......Some people I know stopped watching after Chris was voted off.
I do not recall Scott being booed last year here.......I remember a lot of cheering. I didn't think he was that bad really. Not the best but not horrid either.
Is it the top 10 or 12 that are on the tour? Hoping to see Kevin,,,,,He did ballads well.
I am looking forward to going. Went last year as I had to see Carrie! It was a fantastic show.
cfans - May 21, 2006 09:14 PM (GMT)
I would never boo any performer. Now, if Simon were to make an appearance, that would be different.
I said that I would take a bathroom break when Kat comes on, but I won't be doing that. At this point, I will say I will clap respectfully, but I will not stand. However, I'm going to reserve final judgment until all is said and done. Who knows, she may do something this week to completely change my mind about her. And I'm going to try to not let my feelings about Kat's mother influence my judgment about Kat.

hey, i'm from philadelphia too! :)
you're right about the booing thing. or at least, if fans in philadelphia don't like you, you'll know it. i once went to a concert where the artist (british guy) said, "philadelphians are like the irish. if they don't like you, they'll boo you off the stage. but if they do, they'll invite you back home for a beer." so true!
anyway, i didn't go to the concert last year, so i don't know if anyone got booed. i heard that carrie got a lukewarm reception in comparison to Bo, but then again, country music isn't very popular in these parts. i know i won't be booing anyone at the concert...just don't have it in me. i cannot WAIT to see elliott though. i suspect he'll get a great audience reaction - this city is notorious for *almost* winning, well, just about everything. plus e's R&B/soul style is probably the most preferred style of music in this area. ;)
DawnlikesElliott - May 22, 2006 12:13 AM (GMT)
Hey, for those of you who have been to an AI tour....can you give me a kind of run down on how the show goes? Like who sings when, and how many individual songs and group songs.
ElliottAshah - May 22, 2006 12:19 AM (GMT)
i won't boo Kat, but i won't applaud her. kind of a happy medium, i guess.
Anneke - May 22, 2006 01:34 AM (GMT)
I'll just go and enjoy the night. I couldn't care less about Kat--I don't want to ruin the night.
VotedElliott2hrs - May 22, 2006 01:59 AM (GMT)
i was at the rehersal for elvis week and i am here to warn you about kat live. i absolutely CRINGED at the soun of her voice. like, for real. she hits those notes and it just makes you absolutely cringe!! if you think its bad on tv, its WAYYYY worse live. bring some ear plugs people! oh and i wont boo her, but i wont clap either.
KrazeeK120 - May 22, 2006 03:55 AM (GMT)
I wouldn't boo any performer. Honestly, Kat does deserve to be in the top 10 and be on the tour...just not necissarily in the top 2. I'll probably just clap for her like I do for the other 8 that I'm not really there to see. The only one I'll be SCREAMING for is ELLIOTT!
Janizzle - May 22, 2006 04:27 AM (GMT)
Lol, I won't boo Kat. I'm going to the Philly concert as well...I'm not a Philly native, but I'm sure it'll be quite interesting to see how the crowd reacts...
Oh, and about Scott...that sucks. Honestly, I hated the guy. I thought he was a horrible singer and can't believe he wasn't voted off sooner, to be honest. I only liked "Everlasting Love". Still doesn't deserve boos though!

Hi fellow Philadelphian... yeah the boo birds of Philadelphia :)
I haven't gotten tickets, just terrible seats left now. If I went (by adding another show) I would probably just go for that potty break too when Kat and Kelly came on.
Nimay Ttoille - May 22, 2006 04:41 AM (GMT)
I am going to Richmond. I am sure no one will boo. That is not what Elliot would want, we should alway represent positive.
ElliottCat - May 22, 2006 06:39 AM (GMT)
I'm in Richmond, but won't be going. Won't support AI. Elliott will be performing in Richmond at some of the R& B clubs, and that's where I'll pay my money to hear the only one worth paying money to hear!
A lot of families are Elliott's fans, here, so I would hope that the crowd will be very respectful. Still, there can be some rowdy people in this city. We shall see.
This tour will be another great learning experience for E. We've all seen him blossom so much, showing "personality" when he sings (which is totally secondary to what you can see in his eyes and hear in his voice, of course). Without a close-up camera, though, he will have to learn to evoke his emotion on the stage. He will really learn some performing skills and what life is like on the road. I have a feeling he will be stealing the show in many venues. No one else in that group sings E's types of songs, and his voice is quite unique amongst the group.
Then again, if they make him sing group songs, duets, pop music, he may be quite miserable.
Then again, they won't make E sing what THEY want him to sing will they?????
Maia12 - May 22, 2006 05:31 PM (GMT)
This will be my first time going to an AI show. I'm really excited to see ELLIOTT and my other favorites! I'm not going to boo or applaud that McPerson. I will be ignoring her as much as I can, but I don't know how I'm going to cope once she starts screeching. :dunno:
