There are buttons lined up under each forum - each one of them is a subforum. If you are speaking of the Off The Record subforum, look under the Members forum.

I don't have any buttons with sub forums under the main forums. Is it possible they are turned off or something. :(

When you open a forum that has subforums, then the subforums appear at the top of the section just above the threads.

I'm with you topmom except I don't even know if I have access to the forum. How do you know? I have requested twice to be admitted to the forum but don't know what to do next. Can someone help. :blink:

Hello! Welcome to "Understanding and Locating Subforums, 101"!

First, if you posted in the "Off the Record" sign-up thread, your post was deleted, and you did not receive a PM from me, then you DO have access to the newest subforum. So, if this is your situation, then read on:

If you look up at the top of where we are right now, you'll see a blue tab that reads "How do I Get to Subforums? Dumb Question" (this is the title of this THREAD)... with me so far?

If you go back to the main page of this site, you will see various sections capped by that same blue tab. One is "AI Tour" the next is "Elliott Yamin" the next is "Members"- these are what we call the FORUMS. The SUBFORUMS are the underlined titles next to the big, blue circles (buttons) towards the left side of the page under each FORUM tab. For example, the SUBFORUMS of the "Elliott Yamin" FORUM include "Updates, Media and News Coverage" "The Man" and so on. Since you're all looking for the "Off the Record" SUBFORUM, you've all undoubtedly been to the sign-up/access THREAD, so, for clarification, the sign-up THREAD for the "Off the Record" SUBFORUM is located within "The Man" SUBFORUM, which is part of the "Elliott Yamin" FORUM. Got all that?

Moving right along then, you're ready to search for the "Off the Record" SUBFORUM, and you're going to find it listed with the other SUBFORUMS under the "Members" FORUM. Specifically, you will go to the main page, scroll down til you see the tab with "Members" written on it (that indicates you have the "Members" FORUM), and then under that you will see several SUBFORUMS (including "Group Huddle" and "Off-Topic"). The last one listed will be "Off the Record"... click on it, and in you go! Good luck!
