Taking pictures is usually okay at all venues, but it is a good idea to call the venue you'll be seeing the show at to make sure it's allowed. Taking video however, is usually prohibited and illegal due to copyright issues. People still do it though, you just have to be sneaky.

At the Richmond concert, I called the Colliseum before the show and they told me that camera phones, throw-away cameras and NON-professional cameras were allowed (specified cameras without a telescopic lense). We left ours in the car and our little 3mp digital camera decided not to work. :(

Richmond is without a doubt one of the FUSSIEST venues about cameras. Even THEY allowed cameras. I have a pretty nice 5.0MP that looks professional but does not have add on lens capability and i was allowed to bring it. It even has video capability and they didn't say anything.

It normally depends a lot on the show itself. Some performers just DO NOT allow flash photogrpahy or any cameras. Poptarts and American Idol is allowing it (which surprises me as staunchly as AI protects their film rights with news reporters and such who tape and photograph the event).

I think you'll be fine.

As for Elliott, I made up my mind to cross the sea.
Isn't it great thing!?? Since I was attracted by his vocal and soul, I've been dreaming to listen to his singing at live.
His vocal has the power for it, YEAH!!!!

I hope to see you all at the show. I'll go to see on Sep.23 and 24.
Next day, I have to go back to Japan--- tough schedule but I'll enjoy a lot!!

A bunch of us E-trainers are going to the Bridgeport concert!!!!!!!Come and find us in the parking lot. There will be a huge E-train on top of my car, and we'll be all decked out in Elliottness.It's going to be a blast, and it will be a thrill to share the fun with someone who crossed continents just to see Elliott!

At the Duluth, GA show I saw a woman with a video camera. It was not a small one either. I am not sure how she got it in, but she did. I am going to the Norfolk, VA concert and I saw where they do not allow cameras. I will be bringing it anyway.

In Richmond, they were checking pocketbooks. I have a fairly good sized purse and they hardly even looked at it, much less in it. I could have sneaked in a pretty big camera and they would not have seen it. Of course that was just one city and one door checker person.
