Just running an informal tally on what nights those of you coming to Richmond for State Fair day will be. Are the majority staying Saturday night, Sunday night, or both? Any coming in on Friday night?

Hey, Doxie! Are you going to stay at the hotel? I was thinking about it, but didn't want to take a room from the block away from a possible out-off-towner, but if it gets down to the wire and there are still rooms left in the block, I might stay at the hotel - at least Saturday night. It would be fun to have a PJ party. :dunno:

So far they still had a lot of rooms available and if it gets down to the wire between me or an out of towner staying i'll let them have it. But when i called, they still had a lot left. I think nana2160 was putting the invite out for everyone for the PJ party thing.
There are other closeby hotels too should that one fill up. It all depends on how many people need rooms.
I am only going to stay saturday night i do believe. I work on Monday.

I am pretty sure i'll be doing the walk on Saturday. That is the plan as of right now.
This is why i put the feelers out to see who was staying sat or sun, or both. I thought many were coming into town saturday for the walk as well.

I plan on walking on Saturday. Probably will not stay at the Holiday Inn...I live so close,

I just checked...Monday is Columbus Day. "Some" schools are out, some are not...Those of you who have school aged children may need to check on your school system. I am planning to take Monday off from work. I think we have about 8-10 rooms reserved so far.
Has anyone heard an update on ticket sales yet? I sure hope we can all sit together as on BIG Etrain!!! It will be alot of fun.
What does everyone think about bringing a snack/finger food/munchies to share? Kind of a "potluck" munchie fest...

I don't know how I missed this post Doxie. Anyway, it's Saturday and Sunday nights for me - although I'm tempted to come on in on Friday night. I'll probably be coming up by myself the way it stands right now. I can't wait to meet my fellow E-Trainers, see Richmond for the first time, and see ELLIOTT at home :woohoo:

Still planning flights, Fair (concert) tickets, fundraising, hotel rooms, car rental, but it looks like Friday night, so that me, sis, and two close friends will all be here for all the festivities ("all y'all) -- especially the JDRF Walk on Saturday morning! :grouphug:
