Elliott is closing the Virginia State Fair...a great honor for him and all his fans as well! The date for tickets has just been announced this moment! Good luck everyone!

I just e-mailed cfans to see where we stand on purchasing a block of tickets.

How'd you find that out, Lise? Did you call them or something? Oh my, looks like I'm gonna have to request mine through cfan! I have no internet connection on the 12th! :headsmack:

I called them a few weeks ago and kept in touch, and they promised to tell me first!

and not to EVER doubt Lise, but the state fair folks just confirmed the sale at today's JDRF walkathon luncheon today. they may have finally realized what they have on their hands with this concert, because they were telling everyone to try whatever method they could to get through! Everyone hear at work will be trying to get the max, so we hopefully will have some extras to offer up for face. But we'll see how it goes. Certainly no reason we Richmonders have any better chance at this one than all you out-of-town folks! Good Luck everybody! :bunny:

Cool and thanks for posting this...I didn't even know there was a JDRF walkathon luncheon today in Richmond!

Quick question for you guys, I will be bringing my mother-in-law who would be in a wheel chair.

Have you all heard anything about how I would get handicapped specific seats or know who I would call for that?

with some of you having people you talk to there, i didnt know if you might find out better infomation and quicker than i can.

any help would be awesome!

OK I spoke to the Fair and this is what they told me. If you want to get tickets for Elliott's show at the fair (they include entrance to the fair for that entire day as well) go to Ticket Master this Saturday the 12th and purchase them. There is an 8 ticket limit.

If you just want a ticket to the fair, without the Elliott ticket, those tickets go on sale on August the 15th.

I do not even see Elliott listed on the Ticketmaster site. I did a search and came up with nothing. They have other artists listed as "on sale soon" but I couldn't find E. Did anyone else encounter the same problem, or am I just an idiot? :blink:

I've actually been to many state fairs in Michigan. Saw bands such as Lynard Skynard, Lee Greenwood, 38 Special, Bruce Hornsby, Hank Jr. (Yeh, I'm old), Never been to one here in Richmond. I'm told they are very "rural". It's really just Elliott I want to see.

I cant get this link to open for some reason...can anyone help me iwth these questions?

-Advance sale on thursday. Do you need a code like iwth the Poptarts advanced sales?
-buying thru ticket master, that also includes fair admission iwth the ticket?

If they are, it wont matter when we buy them anyway. But i have this feeling the ampitheatre with most events are assigned seating.

If Cfans is tied up right now out-of-town, then someone else can try to get the group tickets. I would be glad to help-out with this, only I do not have the list of who and how many people requested tickets. Also, almost certainly, they would need to be paid for in-advance. Yikes! How do we manage this?

Golly. What are you guys going to do? I'm almost afraid to not grap tickets when they first go on sale through Ticketmaster.

You would think that somebody at Ticketmaster would have been informed about group sales!

The tickets are assigned seating, NOT general admission...I think someone already said it but I am confirming it.

I notice on the state fair site it says 8 ticket sale limit per person. Does this mean no group sales allowed?

Well I emailed them to ask them what to do about handicapped seating cause I have 1 person that will be in a wheelchair. I'll let you know if I find out any information on this!
