well the first thing I'm doing on tomorrow morning is calling my local Lite Radio station & asking if they have the track ..if they don't I'm taking it to them. Then I'm calling everyone I know during lunch request time & making them call in to ask for MMFL by Elliott Yamin. I will badger them senseless until they are so sick of me they will play it just to shut me up. I'm convinced they will only need to play it once & the rest will take care of itself.

This is so awesome - FINALLY Elliott is getting the media recognition he deserved the entire time !

My motto was once Let's vote him into the Top and keep him there every week

Now it's Let's buy / request his music to get him at the top of the charts and keep him there every week .

Is there anything I can do here in the Catskills of New York to keep that number increasing. Do we call our radio stations and ask them to play it? This is better then voting!

Ithink it's only lite 98 in Richmond that's it's detecting.

Lite 98 has been really good about playing Elliott when anyone calls in to request. But I think the key is to request a specific Elliott song - like MMFL. If they play several different songs, the number would get diluted. I'm so freaking excited about this I can't stand it!!!

The spins are all from Richmond, his hometown. They have been doing a lot of Yamin promotion on Lite98. However, if you want to contact your radio stations, do that beginning on Tuesday, when the songs are released to the general public.

It's still exciting to see him ranked with Clarkson and Crow, isn't it?

Both Lite 98 and Q94 are Clear Channel and they have both played E's songs - but more for Lite 98 because it fits their format (Adult Contemporary) It's going to be hard for stations to play MMFL because it is a jazz number without question - so request, request, request - even if you are ignored. Norah Jones didn't fit a format either a couple of years ago!

What is this site....saw it, but what is the source/origination...not familiar with the music reporting sites.

I don't know what it is, and I don't even know how I came by that site while surfing the web. But when I did, I said..WHOA. I don't know what it is, it could just be that person's own personal favorites.
Mediabase..is a legitimate tracking site. That's absolutely awesome to have Elliott up there with airplay.
I just like the fact that Elliott was first on that chart. It looked good....that's why I posted it. I don't know what it means.

I take it that stations in Birmingham aren't playing any Taylor songs. Since most of his are popular songs, I guess there's no reason to play them, even in his own town. Yet another reason for an AI contestant to sing songs that few people have heard. Add Elliott's wonderfully unique voice to that, and how can you lose?

Spins are how many times a day a track is played on a particular station. Right now, I think the majority of the spins are coming from Lite 98 and Q94- both CC stations.

If we want to bump up visibility, we need to reach out to the DJ's at Lite 98 and Q94 and see if they can spread the word to other CC stations. Also, we need to e-mail our local RnB, Jazz, Lite Rock, Soul, Adult Contemporary stations to let them know we want to hear MMFL.

All airplay also factors into a single charting in Billboard.

Some tracks have charted on airplay alone-- if we can boost airplay and download from I-Tunes we can get it to the top and have it stay there for a good while...
