Just wondered if there are any reports on the Columbus Ohio concert. I wanted to go but I had been in Japan visiting my daughter and didn't think I would be able to make it so didn't buy tix. Drat I got back to Columbus early Friday a.m. and was less 30 minutes away from concert site, but tickets were scarce and expensive so I decided I would rather pay more money to see Elliott alone in concert. My kids think I'm crazy, 2 are older and 1 is same age as E. I hope I'm not the only older woman out there in love with him. I haven't seen much posted about it.-did someone get him an Ohio State jersey? Love to see a picture of him in it if there is one. :cheerleader:

I don't know anything about the Ohio concert...But I am also an "Older" fan with 2 young adult children. I don't know if you know Elliott is singing at the Virginia State fair on Oct. 8th. Tickets went on sale Sat... There may be some tickets still available, if you want to come to Richmond.

We are having an Etrain Celebration for Elliotts first solo concert. It will be on Oct. 7th at the Holiday Inn Central, not far from the fairgrounds. There is also a JDRF walk that morning. We would love to have you join us. We have over 20 rooms already reserved. (By the way...Monday Oct. 9th is Columbus Day...alot of people are out of work that day)

A Proud West End Nana

I went to the Columbus concert and of course Elliott was wonderful. I don't think he was feeling well because his performance wasn't as energetic as we've seen/heard from other venues. But even with a cold and a big ole wad of gum, he outshone everyone. Except maybe Mandisa. We were in a very loud Chris/Taylor section that just didn't seem to "get" Elliott.

I had read on here somewhere that Elliott was sent 2-3 different OSU jerseys but he didn't wear any of them. That was disappointing.

You should go to the Richmond concert. I'm "older" (37) and a friend and I are going to drive down for it! I'm in the process of getting the tickets now. I can't wait to see him in his element with an audience that's there for him alone! That way I won't get upset with people who practically faint over Taylor's schtick and don't give the true talent a chance!

Would like to go to the concert in Richmond, but don't care to drive alone? Sounds like it is going to be great though. Where is it actually held in Richmond? I'm disappointed Elliott didn't wear an OSU jersey or shirt-not a fan. My son graduated in '95 from there. :cheerleader: Maybe I should get a ticket and if not able to go, can sell it. :)

I have pics of the Columbus, Ohio concert, but have not had a chance to upload them onto Photobucket, so that I can post them on the E-Train. I had Crowe's daughter give Elliott a birthday bag with 3 Ohio State shirts. A grey one, a white one, and of course, a scarlet one. What I'm wondering is maybe Elliott had Crowe take the shirts to his apartment, which then he wouldn't have them in his possession to wear. I'm not sure. I bought him a real nice Ohio State ballcap to give to him at Columbus, but he wouldn't venture up to get the gifts that a bunch of us had for him, but that might also be because he wasn't feeling well, and maybe he didn't want to spread it to all of us! My granddaughter who is 5 was so disappointed that she didn't get to meet Elwiot, as she calls him. After the concert, we were walking back to the car, and she says "But Meemaw, we didn't give Elwiot his present!" All I could respond was "I know, I know". She has loved Elwiot from the beginning. In fact, the girls were allowed to stay up late on Tuesday and Wednesday nights, (school nights) so they could watch Elwiot on AI.

Anyway, yes Elwiot put on a good show in Columbus. He did not interract with the crowd like he did in Richmond though. I think that had to do with him not feeling well. My granddaughter sat on the edge of her seat watching the entire show. I don't think she blinked when Elwiot was singing! :rotfl:

Maybe next time when Elwiot is performing in Columbus, solo, he'll wear an Ohio State shirt! Can't wait to see him back here! :woohoo:

I am also an Older (40+) fan and I absolutely love him. Haven't heard a voice like his in ages.

I think there are quite a few of us mature women out here in E-land.

I know that Elliott got the birthday bag because I saw Brandon's daugther hand it to him. Also, when Elliott got sick in Richmond and all the picture taking and autograph signing stopped, I saw his bodyguard (Gabe), carry all his gift bags to wherever they were going (and yes, your bag was one of them :) . Brandon, Amandarhea, Doxie, and I went to The Cherry Lounge right after Elliott left. Anyway, maybe we can ask Brandon to ask E to the whereabouts of those shirts??!!
