I am wondering what people think about this article:
http://negativland.com/albini.htmlI thought it was interesting, a little troublesome, and wondered if any of this could apply to Elliott at all.

Wow, that is interesting and troublesome. I guess there's more than one "devil" to dance with in this game. I feel like some if not most of it does apply to Elliott - I'd be willing to bet that someone paid Clive something to pass on signing him. I am just really glad that his cousin advised him to get an entertainment lawyer first and that he is taking his time negotiating a good contract.
Once he went on Idol - he was pretty much stuck with the major label games, so let's hope he is really getting good advice.

Downright scary! I hope E has some experienced and ethical people to help him. When I read that Chris has already bought a house for his family worth over $625,000 dollars, there must be some guarantees somewhere. :(

I thought the description of an "A & E man" was telling. I have heard that term before...but never knew exactly what it meant! Basically sounds like they can sometimes function as con artists! I certainly think (hope) that Elliott is protected from the worst of this because of his AI success.

Huh...I never knew that! I hope this doesn't apply to Elliott, though I fear that parts of it may...

Wow. That kind of gives you a new outlook on all those supposedly rich famous folks have to file bankruptcy. Ouch.

I have heard some of this before , but to see it in black and white is scary to say the least !
I hope Elliott gets stellar advice and also hope that Chris didn't overdo it with his $ 625,000 mansion, ..sigh
