I love football, always have... and since I started playing fantasy football it has gotten worse. I don't expect many here are into football. Just wondering :P

A pro-football fan here! My husband and I follow the Miami Dolphins. We went to Jacksonville, Fla. and saw Dan Marino's last pro game in the playoffs. It was the most horrible game I have ever seen! The final score was approx. 68-7. But we had great seats and JJ went bye-bye! :D
Edited for spelling and also to add that I am really ticked-off at Ricky Williams :(

Football fan here. My two brothers both played in high school and we're from a small town where it's a huge deal. They both played on championship teams, 9 years apart. I loved going to all of their games to cheer them on. As for the NFL, I'm a San Francisco 49ers fan. I've never been to a game but I'd love to go sometime.

I LOVE FOOTBALL!!! I have to. I'm from Pittsburgh! Go Steelers!!!

The Iron Curtain, Yah
Dan Marino was one of the greatest, but he didn't go out in style,
I thought the same of Brett Farve this year. Why did he insist on coming back with a new coach and new ofense
But he tore it up so far , so we shall see, I just as soon see him retired since I am close to his home town. He actually practised with the local High scool team here in Misissippi team and he said it renewd his drive fore the game
Imagine that
Go Brett
I am from New orleans but pple hate me because I like all in my keague and others
Fav this year for me
is Cincy...
Always loved Tb and Falcons so I am much despised in New Orleans
I feel for the Saints they have great talent, but they tend to pick up our Big Easy Mentality
just kick back and such
that doesn't win a football game
But the crescent City will do that to a person...no doubt...it is so cool and laid back here, nobody wants to bust their ass and go out of their wya ..it truly is a curse,,,,,...and it is hot toto

Im crazy about football. Love Va Tech on college level. My pro teams are Miami Dolphins and Redskins. Also like Falcons due to Michael Vick. Hope all teams do well and give us an exciting season to watch. Agree about Dan Marino, my son's all time hero. He will always be the greatest in my opinion.
nikkib703 - August 24, 2006 03:42 PM (GMT)
We're a die-hard football family around here! Penn State and Joe Pa...doesn't get any better than that. Love the Ravens, too. Not much on the Colts, though. Nothing against the current team members, especially Peyton, but some of us Baltimoreans still hold a grudge against the Ursay family taking the team to Indiana and not giving us a chance to say goodbye. I said we are a football family in this house---my husband played semi-pro for the Baltimore Bears back in the mid 80's and he now coaches rec football for 11-13 year olds. My son is an assistant coach for the team, and my daughter cheerleads. I like Pittsburgh, too, but the hubby and son don't, so we have interesting game nights around here, but is all fun.

Fellow E-poster IBelieveToMySoul has set up a Fantasy Football area for anyone from the Etrain who would like to participate at the ESPN site.
I'll see if she can post the link here.

My daughter is a big UVA fan and this does not go over well in our area. Tech flags on cars, mailboxes ect. It's a shame that Marcus Vick couldn't get his act together. :(

I'm not a huge football fan, but I like it a lot. I only watch pro football and my team is the Vikings. I also play fantsay football. It's my first time so I'll probably be bad.
And yes, I do have a league, but the draft has already passed. However, if I get at least 3 other people, I can start a new one.
alysoup - August 25, 2006 02:47 PM (GMT)
I watch more football than most men I think.
I am getting the football package this year so I can watch ALL the games I want and also watch football tv shows all day and night.
GO DOLPHINS!!!

i am game if you want to start another league. So who did you draft on your team.??
I played Fantasy for the first time 3 or 4 years years ago. I dated a guy who was into it and he "made me" get a team also. lol.I didn't even know some of the players I had drafted, lol, but I learned quickly, and ended up being 2nd or 3rd in my league.
That was enough for me to become hooked. The next year I had 4 teams....
The rest is history....

I have a co-worker who is the same way. She is a such a manic sports fan that the two vacations she gets every year are taken 2 days before Superbowl Sunday and during the last games of the World Series, and she tapes every game she cannot be home to watch.

Looks like TO is milking that hamstring injury for all it's worth. I am SO, SO glad the Ravens didn't get stuck babysitting this fool, but I did feel sorry for the Eagles when they had him. However, i do not feel sorry for the Cowboys. They knew what a headache he was when they signed him, so they deserve all the BS he's going to put them through, and we all know he's far from finished doing just that. Damn good player, that is when he does indeed play.

yeah, T.O. is quite a character. I do believe he has a hurt hamstring. I think he wants to play just as much as fans want him to play respectively.
Parcells is known for being able to deal with difficult players, but I don't think it did do anyone any good for him "forcing" T.O. to practise when he wasn't ready.
I am sure there are many different opinions out there, and I do agree that the Cowboys knew what they were getting. :)

I love football with a passion. I used to play until I suffered a season ending injury this year. =(
SheilaHI - August 28, 2006 10:20 PM (GMT)
I love the Raiders, and excited to say they are looking good so far for preseason. Could it be a miracle they are back on track...Art Shell is probably the most loved since the great John Madden (just inducted to the Hall of Fame)
Randy Moss can be a bad boy in Oakland and still be loved, especially if he's gonna catch some footballs. He reminds me of Cliff Branch in the Silver and Black

You sound like my son. He lives for football. He had a shoulder injury that ended his college dreams. I cried like a baby at his last game. Everyone was looking at me like I had lost my mind, but I knew it was the last time I would see my 'baby' play, and it for me it was heart-wrenching. I had been watching him play since his rec ball days, and now he is coaching kids on the same rec team he played for years ago, and he loves it. Maybe you should consider doing something like that. It's still exciting for me to watch those kids play.

I'm a football fan, too! Giants and Jets fan, of course, but I also like the Eagles, the Steelers, and a bunch of individual players.

I love football. The Niners are my favorite team even though they play really awful. I have been a fan of there's for many years. I have a really big feeling this is going to be another long losing season for them. I also like the Raiders, Colts, Rams, and Patriots.
