Taylor Hicks' Viper Room Romp

As TMZ mentioned earlier, Taylor Hicks, Bucky Covington and Elliott Yamin skipped out on their "Idol" tour after-party, full of autograph signing and kodak moments with the kiddies, to obtain some serious music industry cred by playing at the notorious Hollywood rock club Viper Room.

Taylor showed real rock star qualities as he jammed with the Little Memphis Blues Orchestra, which include members of his own band.

Hicks sang, played harmonica and drank shots on stage in front of a sold-out crowd that wasn't interested in hearing any pop music covers or standards. Amen!

Elliott and Bucky also got in on the action to the delight of the packed house which included tons of screaming fans, but unlike their earlier gig at Staples Center, none of the 12-year-old variety.

Bucky hung with his wife Crystal, while Elliott was joined by his gorgeous model girlfriend, Jamie.

As far as Taylor, when he wasn't on stage or fending off members of his Soul Patrol, he would retreat to the confines of the closed-off VIP room.

Well it's about time TMZ covered this - that sleazy tabloid site ought to be good for something! Love the pictures.

Ha Ha. I am in the third picture. That's my arm with the green "care like you mean it" wristband and two glow bracelets. I have a beer in my hand. That's right after I had talked to Bucky. Yvette is the woman with her back to the camera and holding her purse. Too funny.

That's a cute pic of the two of them. Looks like Jamie has eclectic taste in music judging from her hat. Nice post!

Great article and pictures of Jaime and Elliott, looks like they were having a great time. So Elliott gets a mention in TMZ, glad for him to get some press.
Maybe Elliott is encouraging Jaime to wear hats too!

I was reading further AI news on TMZ and learned that Chris is the biggest Diva in the group. He's now moving around with an entourage of security around him. Also, the stage managers say that Chris and Ace are the most difficult to deal with - always complaining about everything, etc. I'm surprised - especially to hear that about Ace, the nice guy.

"But the scene stealer and diva of the evening was Chris Daughtry. Chris arrived with extra security,and although initially he did mingle with fans, by the end of the night you had to be asked over by The Daughtry in order to say hello."

"Sources connected with the show tell TMZ that Ace Young and Chris Daughtry are hands down the most difficult contestants for producers to handle. Once source called Ace and Chris, who are roommates, "constant complainers." They complain about everything from song selections to shopping.
As one source said: "If either one of them got kicked off the show, the producers would be very happy."

How does the band sound with Elliott. This totally off the wall, but if LIMBO does not get the backup band for Taylor. Could they be a back up band for Elliott or would they not mesh with the type of music Elliott is going to do?

Could they play with a hip hop sensibility, jazz as well as R& B? How good of a band were they?

I find that hard to believe. There's always someone who has to be snarky and create drama where there is none. All of them had guards with them, most likely. And Ace being rude....?? If anything, he seems to be the most mellow and fan friendly of the bunch.

Ace is going to regret not going to this gig!

I have seen LMBO videos with both Elliott and Taylor singing and they all sound great together. I don't think that LMBO is ultimately the type of music that Elliott will record - but I think he's having a great time playing with them now and again and judging from the videos, they seem to like Elliott a lot too.

Elliott sounds fantastic with LMBO! I seriously hope this is the type of music Elliott records and not hiphop..Elliott is soo much better than that imho. E sounds fantastic with a live band! :rocker:

Wow, I can't imagine Ace being a complainer....now Chris, I could sort of imagine, lol...I wonder if there was really any truth in it?

Sorry to say this but I am not all that concerned about any other idol except Elliott. So as long as they are not portraying Elliott as a difficult diva, then i'm happy!

They may or may not be wrong about Ace and Chris. I just can't see myself losing sleep over it. No offense to ace or chris, i like them both, but they are not my IDOL!

That girl in the secend pic looks like pink. lol OK this Jamie,I hate her. ( I will think of a reason later). I'm glad green is Elliott's color b/c I'm full of green!!
